I have a ton of board games but none that pertain to children aged 2-6. So to get this game for my little cousins that is EASY for them to understand and fun was a +++++ for me!!!

Fun for the little kids

Super fun activity for kids.  Lots of laughs and easy to start playing.  I remember playing it as a kid and playing it with grandkids is still enjoyable.  Love that multiple ages can enjoy it.

Great for all ages

great game for ages 3+.  purchased for granddaughters who immediately began playing with parental guidance.  Once they got the concept of the game, they played on their own.

Candy Land was a hit

This condensed version of the original is great for beginners! Instead of using the cards (that are littered on the floor when your toddler moves on) it uses a spinner. This was easier for my 3 year old to use and takes up less space.

The overall look of the game and characters is a little girly, not a problem for me (mother of 2 girls) but might be disappointing for others.

Great Beginners Game

LOVE IT! wish the cards were bigger since they are hard to shuffle being so small,  but we still play it all the time.  Great great game for my 4 and 5 year old.

The game used to have cards to pull from a deck, gingerbread-shaped playing pieces, and a board that was interesting but not cluttered or overwhelming. The new game is flashy and aggressive in appearance, with every space on it filled with hyper-modern cartoon characters that are of a kind with what kids see everywhere now, I suppose. It uses a spinner that's hard to hold down while spinning, instead of cards, and the game pieces are odd character shapes with stick-on images that were somewhat hard to identify. My grown daughter and I much preferred the older versions of the game for their simplicity and whimsy. This modern version feels over-stimulating, as so much of children's programming is now, I suppose. My 6 year old granddaughter seemed to enjoy the game, however, so I'd say that it is probably fine for the kids of today. It generally plays about the same as it always did. I do wish, however, that they'd tone it down some - the cluttered board does not add to the game's play value, it just adds to the general stress of the times.

So - a good game for young children, as it always was, easy to play, just not the game you may remember, visually.

Not what it used to be, but still fun.

I bought this game for my granddaughter, thinking it would be like the Candy
Land game from the 1980s. I was very disappointed dur to the poor quality of the board and game pieces, also the graphics have changed which instead of having dreamlike, pleasant illustrated characters, they were rather unpleasant and scary to my granddaughter.

CandyLand Crushed

If you played this as a child and want to share those memories by playing with your child or grandchild, you will be dissappointed.  Only grace is the price but would rather pay more for the classic game.  Very cheaply made as one would expect based on price, but to change the characters... well just disappointed.

Not the original, cheaply made

I was expecting the classic Candy Land game to give to my nephew. Over the years Candyland has been updated to be more gender neutral with boys and girls in the illustrations. This one has been "updated" so that all the characters are super girly. The board and game pieces are really cheap looking and the game is played totally differently with a spinner instead of the traditional cards.

Super cheepy version

The old game set of candy land is great but this version is HORRIBLE. So cheap! The cards are made out of paper that so easily gets ripped in the hands of a child. Do not waste your money. Not worth it.
