Bought this small,compact camera for my wife, replacement for a Canon G3 4mp( full body). She is able to put it in her purse without noticing the weight. Excellent picture quality, excellent video. Great to be able to zoom in/out while shooting video. As with any camera when shooting pics or video, purchase a bigger sd card and spare batteries now, not later. This camera is packed with features, that my wife would not normally use. Just leave it in AUTO mode and shoot away. Excellent camera for the price.

Great little camera with features

I purchased this Powershot A2400is to replace my A1100is which needed repair.

I was happy to see that the camera operated much like my previous camera so there wasn't a big learning curve. I downloaded the complete users guide to help with any new features I wasn't familiar with.

I was happy to see that the battery took only about 2 hours to charge which will be most convenient when taking this camera on vacation.

I will say that the size of this camera is very small compared to my previous camera. It has taken some getting used to. I wrap the wrist strap tighly so as not to drop it. This will just take practice and finding a new camera case to suit its size.

All in all, this was a great purchase and it's my 4th Canon camera.

Great Little Camera

This camera is sweet! Purchased online through the big 'A' brand, they listed it as a touch screen, to which it is not. Nonetheless, on opening and pulling it from it's tight little package, you feel it's heft that assures a quality product. Very stylish, and a quality zoom optic had me decide to ditch my quick-view binoculars! Not only did I buy one for myself at the time, I also bought one for a friend with no regrets. We are still finding fun uses for all the modes. Very compact, but not so small to be user un-friendly.

Great for indoor

When you or your 11 year old loses the charger you CANNOT charge the battery. Surprise.
