I mark as "I would recommend" only because I didn't see all that many single function small printers. The printer seems delicate. No room for any hard treatment. Not sure how it will work out for quality graphics as the first ones we printed were not the same quality as with our other printers which include Canon. We do have aftermarket inks that yield excellent color and as soon as we install the CISS in it may see significant improvement in photo print quality. The ink cartridges supplied are getting used up fast despite little printing that is not shipping labels and invoices. Initially, we had a number of test, photo prints feed two pieces of paper, printing some on each which appears to have been remedied when we switched paper type from Photo Paper Plus Glossy 2 to Glossy Photo Paper. The manual supplied is a program, not a simple .pdf. That can be an advantage at times but probably never for me. Having trouble setting it up wireless with a Dell notebook but that is not a primary computer. Not very much paper capacity. People complain that the printer has a large footprint but it isn't much larger than our old, worn out Epson that it replaces. Just a little deeper. In the past, we were quite pleased with Canon quality. The IP7220 is not something would unpack, set up and say, "Feels well made". Hope I can edit this after more use.

Disappointed in Canon

I basically ordered this by accident I was looking for ink for my professional Canon Pro 9000 large format printer when I mistakenly ordered this with the ink. I do have to say that I'm very impressed with it's ability as a photo printer. Although not quite the same quality as my Pro9000 the iP7220 is a phenomenal printer. I love the fact it has 2 trays which can be preloaded with all kinds of photopaper and regular paper. And the print quality of those pictures is very very good.

Such a great printer...

I was skeptical at first, on the quality of this printer because of the low cost.
But Walmart website very easy to use, printer was delivered with no damage to box at all.
I use Canon Photo Glossy II paper to print photographs, and the image is very nice.
To compare, I had a HP D7560 photo printer, and the quality of the print is nicer on this printer.
I also bought it to print on printable discs. And it also works pretty good.
Can't complain at all about the price. I am now wondering, how much better are the printers that costs $600 or more?. Because the quality of this printer is pretty good!.

Better photo quality than expected

I love ths printer. It was so easy to setup and use. It takes up less space than the HP I had
before and ink is less expensive. It does all I ever ask of a printer.

Great product

This printer produces great prints and the ink cartridges aren't as expensive as the other models. The only drawback is that this printer does not have a scanner .

Great printer

I bought this printer for 1 reason: Printing directly onto DVD's.
It advertises as capable of this and is...but...read on.
First, thank you Walmart for your prompt delivery on the day promised.
Build Quality: The printer arrived and I was surprised at how heavy it was. It seems sturdy and liable to continue working for a long time.
Printing: Text seems sharp and pictures look like "the real thing.” If you want a printer to for pictures, this will do a good job.
Paper Handling: You can load regular (letter) paper and photo printing paper at the same time. It will draw on the one it needs. Makes switching back and forth a breeze. It also does duplex (both sides) printing which is always a plus.
General: Hard to set up. Once it is, it's hard to tell when it's ready to print and very quiet once printing begins, but my hearing isn't great...but the printer is slow to be ready to begin. Adding ink cartridges was time-consuming. Inserting them was easy, but getting the carriage for ink in the right position, then returning it to print mode was loud and long.
Ink: Expensive, but what I pay for HP ink. My previous printer had multiple cartridges but if one went dry, you ended up replacing all of them. My son-in-law has a Canon and says replacement of one cartridge (with refilled ones) is cheap and they last long enough. Don't think I'll go that route. We'll see.
Direct to DVD printing: My Epson broke down and that was what I used to print DVD's. To replace it I bought the ip7220. It took me a long time to figure out how to print DVD's with the Canon...because I expected to be able to do it from the software that was sent with it. Besides that, it isn't easy to figure out where to put the disc tray...because the instructions come AFTER YOU TELL IT TO PRINT A DISC. Once you figure that out, the rest is easy...after you purchase software from another source. My Epson had it's own software (PrintCD) which will not work with any other type of printer...found it out the hard way. Don't know if they still give you the software, but they recommend software that will print DVD's and I chose SureThing from their list of 9 programs. After installing that (and figuring out how to get the DVD into the printer) it was easy. They actually have a choice that is the exact Canon DVD tray J.
It does a decent job with the DVD's. Printing is even with no bands or lines. I'm happy...but disappointed and feel like it's false advertising to to simply say this will print directly to discs. Should say, "directly to discs with 3rd party software which will add to the total cost of the printer."

Not what I expected, but a good printer

The printer is great the software supplies is very LAME. Almost useless fro printing disks which is what I bought it for.

I had to purchase 3rd. party software for disk printing.

The networking works great and prints from my iPad.

The printer preforms great, with a lot of features

Printing disks the quality is not as good as our old epson.
Otherwise has many good features, double printing both sides of the paper, you do not have to turn the page over. The Cannon is operating better than we thought it would.
The ink carrtiages can be refilled.

Great printer and a good price.

Other reviews say this printer is too noisey. I disagree. This printer replaces a Canon ip4700 which was damaged while it was eating my earbuds. This printer makes much less noise printing in quiet mode (which user can select) than my ip 4700.
Also start of first print is faster if power controls are set up correctly
