My 17 year old son put it together with only the help of someone holding pieces occasionally for attachment. We got the light oak color. He did not use the keyboard tray, because he likes his keyboard closed to the monitor. The desktop is big enough to have 2 larger monitors side by side. The shelf on the side has an open back to put the computer tower in if desired. Good price for a larger student desk.

PRO: I purchased the Maple color for our son's room and the desk looks beautiful. It is of surprisingly strong quality for the price. My husband and I had it fully assembled in less than 1 hour using a power drill and there were no issues such as scratches/missing parts.

CON: The keyboard tray is a little low (approx. 23" from floor to tray) as compared to my other desk where the keyboard tray is approx 26", and so my son keeps his keyboard and mouse on the top part of the desk. **We will try drilling our own holes to lift it higher.**

Overall, would recommend this desk to anyone looking for a nice looking, decent quality desk at a great price.

Great Student Desk; But Low keyboard Tray

I have bought 2 of these and they make excellent compact desks.  Both have 32" monitors on them and have plenty of desktop space.

Excellent small desk

great table for iMac 27". quality is great. it complements the imac as illustrated in the picture. building the table is quite pretty straightforward. you may need extra hand though.

anyway, i like the table and i would definitely recommend this table.

bang for the back

We purchased (3) of these desks for our computer room. They are solidly made and look great.

Great quality and great price

The desk is great. I love the color, it was easy to set up with mostly clear instructions and took me about 1.5 hours. There are two things that are negatives to me - the back is completely open and unfinished with a shelf sticking out in place sight from behind view. Additionally the back isn't finished with black. The second thing is the keyboard is too low as most of the other reviewers have stated - I installed mine for a week and then just took it off (disappointedly) and set it aside. It seems to be working better without it. All in all though, great value and it's a very good, solid, nice looking desk. Would buy it again!

Mostly LOVE it!

I bought this desk for my grandson and he is delighted with the gift. It was easy to assemble and has just the right amount of space for his needs. I think it was a good buy, could not have done any better for that price.

good value for the price

Nice sturdy desk. Excellent choice for the second bedroom! The shelves are good, however,  I wish they were wider. It's still a great desk and I'm happy with my purchase.

Desktop

The desk has a nice black finish, certainly professional looking. But the keyboard drawer is way too low for an average person, should be advertised as a children's desk. I had to refrain from installing the keyboard slider to use the desk at all.

I also did not receive an instruction manual with the shipment. Prepac was courteous enough to email it to me.

Good Small Desk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very, very low quality. Expensive. It should have been priced half the cost. Never buying again. The parts are not numbered and as soon as I put it together, it started to peel off from the edges. I am highly dissatisfied and I am throwing it to the trash.
