I would recommend this product. It's very good quality. It has a nice cover. The size is perfect. I have a much larger oblong shaped French white casserole container. That's a little too big so this compliments that perfectly a great buy don't hesitate to buy it.

These are oldies but goodies!  I love the oval shape.  They are great for the oven and microwave with a glass lid.   They are really hard to find these days.  Thank you Wal-mart for still carrying them.

Old fashioned but still perfect

It is the perfect item for my purposes as I am 70 and live alone. I accidentally dropped my last one and was happy to fjnd it so inexpensive here. I never want to cook too much and then have it go bad in the fridge. This one is perfect, not too big or too small.

Have loved Corningware my whole life. Oven to table to fridge with ease. Goes good with any style dinnerware. Class.

A great dish for two people fantastic I have a bigger one for 10 but this one does for about 2 to 5 people

Purchased one of these years ago, and it broke, and finally was able to find one exactly the same very pleased with purchase

Corning ware

The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that it would help if there were handles for easier removing from the oven. Otherwise, it seems to be great bakeware.

Great bakeware

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This casserole dish was much heavier than I expected.  It is of high quality and I hope the recipient will like it.  I was really interested in the smaller corningware pieces of the past. They were lighter weight and smaller.

I bought this because my other one had a crack in it and it was eventually going to break. This is not as high quality as the previous one. Corning ware has cheapend this product. Putting them side by side and even weighing them you can tell it is not as sturdy as the original. Now is  it a good buy? Yes absolutely because I saw prices way way higher than what I paid for this. 
I also got the 2.5 quart casserole dish to go with it because it had a crack in it too. 
I use this casserole dish quite a bit. So we will see how it stacks up for the next several years.

size is good for 2 people but to take out of oven, no handles make it hard and dangerous to take out.

No handles on dish makes it hard to handle when getting out of microwave or oven. Did not realize it has no handles when I purchased it
