Have used these French white Corningware dishes for years! Oven safe, dishwasher safe. The glass lid - which I love - keeps the foods hot. The price is a bit high,  but the quality is there. I also have a 1.5 quart oval Corningware baking dish as well. For storage in my cupboards I turn the glass  lids upside down to stack these baking dishes on top of one another.

I am getting more into cooking and decided I needed a big dish like this for meatloaf and casseroles. 

It is the same ol` functional dish you'd expect.

Nice dish

The Corningware Oval 2.5 Qt., French White is a perfect replacement for an old one that was chipped and scratched. It was time to replace the one I used for decades. Corningware brand offers a long lasting quality in overall cookware. I especially recommend  the 2.5 qt. oval size for long shaped roasts sliced for families to bring to the table as well as for storing leftovers in the fridge. Potato casseroles bake nicely and are presentable in special occasions.

This seems the perfect size especially for a holiday gathering for a sweet potato casserole, or any casserole serving 6-9.  It's quality built, heavy, and goes from refrigerator to oven or microwave.  Heats uniformly.   I have 2 of this same casserole dish.

Excellent Casserole Dish

I love the look of French CorningWare casserole dishes. They're elegant and very sturdy. They hold up well over time and are versatile in being used in the microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. They are sturdy and made out of quality materials. They will last forever if you clean them properly and use them according to directions. They're easy to cook and store food in. They look elegant when you serve food in them.

A great addition to my Corning wear collection. I love the ability to use this dish for cooking, serving, and saving in the fridge, it's great to have one dish to do it all.

Great dish to use daily!

Corningware has really changed. The dish I replaced was a workhorse. Refrigerator to air fryer? No problem. Plop frozen food in it to cook in a cold oven? Many times. Reading the no-no list on this new item has me worried to use it. I really miss my old casserole dish and am REALLY sad to have dropped it after all these years! It was given to me as a wedding gift 45 years ago and I used it often.

I did a review on the 1.5 qt casserole dish so I am just going to say this is the same. 
It's a good buy but not as sturdy as the one I had. Corning Ware has cheapened their product as with so many companies do. It's all about the bottom line and no longer about quality of the product. 
It's less expensive than many so it's up to you as to whether you want to spend your hard earned money on this.

I really don't like this casserole dish. The lid really doesn't fit properly and it's hard to take out of the oven because there is not a lip on the edges. I could see me dropping it. Unfortunately I can't return it because I got rid of the packaging. So disappointed in Corningware.

Disappointed not a great casserole dish

This Corningware has NO Handles.  It is very difficult to take it out of the oven when hot with the glass cover sliding around. 
I  would find a casserole dish that has handles.  It does cook a roast very well, but cumbersome when trying to take out of the oven.  Come on, Corningware, stop cutting corners for gain.
