This air dry clay is very easy to use.  Great for adults %26 the children.  You can make anything your mind can think of.  I let my mini creations dry over night %26 paint them the next day.  Great price for a lot of clay.

My family has personally used this product several times now for school projects and it has came in handy. As far as ease of use, it has been spot on with what the directions say. It took some practice and experience (especially for the children) to learn that you really have to work the clay and smooth it over so that it will dry evenly and not crack or break. If you are looking for clay you don't have to bake, this works well!

Great for Arts and Crafts/School Products

My 13 year old Daughter used these to make 3D items. She was in a pageant at had to decorate a mason jar for donations for the People's Choice Award. The jars were themed and she chose her favorite movie Coraline. She created items and then colored them. I was so amazed at how well the came out and they held up. We've decided to try some Christmas ornaments with it. The bucket and value here are undeniable and the possibilities are endless on what one could create.

We've been using this air dry clay since Christmas to make gifts for friends and family, and we love it. It's easy to work with, soft enough for little hands, and dries nicely without needing a kiln!! It's been a great, affordable option for crafts and special projects, and I'll definitely be buying another tub when we run out!!

Pro tip: grab some cookie cutters!! The kids love do use those and gives them a creative direction

Great craft for kids (and their grownups)

I purchased this to creare a foot imprint for my daughters first Christmas. It is super easy to work with, especially for someone who has never done anything like this before. It took us a few times to get the perfect impression but it was easy to restart. The clay worked up easy and now I have a memorable craft.

Crafty Memories

This is the first time I've bought this air dry clay.  I've always used modeling clay but we were getting low on that so thought I'd try air dry.  Definitely will buy again. I like that it dries hard.

7.5 and 9.5 year olds used it.  It was a little harder for them to get it out of the container because it is a bit more dense.  

We used a rolling pin to make it a uniform  height then used mini cookie cutters for our shapes.  Let them dry overnight then painted with tulip puff fabric paint.  Turned out great!

We didn't use much.  Put the top on then placed in ziplock bag.  Not sure how this will store.

7.5 y.o. Prefers modeling clay just cause she likes to squish it  and is easier for her to use.

Love it!

I've used it to make several things, including paw prints for my poor little dog that passed. My 3 year old twins and I have made hot dogs by mixing red dye into the clay, ornaments, beads, and the viral handprint ghosts for halloween. After being opened several times for occasional use over the last 5 months, it is still soft and pliable and not dried out.

We love buying Crayola Air Dry Clay anytime our kids' have school projects to complete. It does need sufficient amount of dry time before painting, and it's not as durable as clay you bake, so be aware of it breaking if molding this clay into anything thin.

School Project approved

The clay is perfect for fun clay projects. The reason that I gave it a four star is that the container that it comes in could be so much better than it is. It does not seal very well and so over  time the clay becomes very hard to work with. If it came in a better container that was more air tight then the clay would perform much better longer than it does. Because of the container the clay can be harder to use and to manipulate for little hands. It just becomes too hard and stiff. That is not a clay problem that is a container problem.

Good Clay Poor Container

it would be good for younger kids just kinda playing with but doesn't do well if you want the creation to last very long. It also cracks if you cover jars because it shrinks so much. it crumbles extremely easily so easy I did it with 2 fingers with little effort. It does however roll out and smooth very satisfying which was very upsetting when I realized it easily fell apart after my work :(
