Crosman Phantom .22 caliber Air Rifle is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal rifle I've been an airgun enthusiast for several years now, and this Crosman doesn't disappoint in the least.  I've found it to be remarkably accurate, and since it's a .22 it delivers far more of a punch than any sub-500 FPS .177 counterpart.  It has the same cocking effort of it's full-size brethren (the Phantom 1000 and Tac-1 Extreme), but if you have even a little bit of upper body strength it's not too bad.  If my wife can do it, so can you!  I found that it does well with any Crosman pellet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crosman phantom.22, Great rifle for the price. I bought this about 2 weeks ago to hunt pidgeons at local farms and it takes them out 1st shot each and every time. The trigger has a long second stage that can't be adjusted very much. It was really hard to break the barrel for the first week. It got much easier as the alive jam weared down. The fiber optic sights work great, but they are made out of plastic. Be careful not turn the elevation screw all the way out because you could lose the spring that keeps tention on it. The stock favors left and right handed shooters. The phantom is Pretty heavy but you will get used to it very quickly. I recommend breaking the gun in with around 500 pellets . The gun is also easy to cock. Overall a very nice gun for the price and very accurate after breaking the gun in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for our needs This is about 6lbs and works like a charm! Very easy to use and once dialed in the sights are dead on. I like the colours lighting up the sights so it's easier to see - when you aim, move your head down a bit so you do not see all of the green sight (about half) and it will shoot straight. We set up a portable work bench with a towel for the son who is 9 but very small for his age so he could not hold it and have it steady. Tap the end to break the barrel, load pellets in straight and not on an angle and you should be very happy! It's amazing for the price we paid. There's a slight kick but nothing serious. It's a great starter, and for the advanced as well. My brother (a collector) suggested it and we are very impressed! The main purpose was for shooting practice for the daughter in cadets (and of course the rest of the family) so we had requested my brother look for a gun without scope...we needed to learn how to do it without the extra help ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just love it! Very accurate and hit hard. I've been shooting at about 30 yards away in my backyard, the target was on felled tree trunk with size of 25 cm in diameter. One of the pellets hit beyond the tree trunk. It took over 30 shots to adjust the elevation and windage. I adjusted the windage to the left about 1 tick from the median one (longer) to make the hit close to center. I need to say the rear sight was not in good quality, and the elevation adjustment is not continuous. yet it does its job well, it IS accurate, the shooting. I collected most of the shot pellets, they were completely shapeless, it hit really hard. I did not try any animal, I don't know if it's legal without a hunting permission, any ideas?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice air rifle This is a nice rifle. Fiber optic front and rear sights are functional but are sadly mounted with plastic. Thankfully it has a dovetail rail so you can mount compatible scopes and sights. You can also use a dovetail to Picatinny converter to use compatible optics. I haven't used mine enough to break it in yet, so I'm only seeing 375 fps currently. It has a much longer cocking pull than older models I've used due to a difference in the air cylinder length inside. All in all I'm quite happy with this gun.
