This is a fantastic rifle for the price point. It is very powerful I chrono'd mine at 935 FPS with a 7.9 grain Crosman HP pellet.  I upgraded the trigger to a CDT GRIII Trigger, which breaks at about 1.5 lbs.  I added a dovetail to Picatinny adapter and used heavy duty UTG Picatinny and mounted a 3-9x50 UTG RGB Mil-Dot scope.  I also mounted a Picatinny rail on the bottom to use a bi-pod. Just mount it so the break barrel cocking action do not interfere.  I shoot groups the size of a dime from 20 yards using Benjamin 7.9 gr Hollow-points. I also slid a universal grooved rubber hand-gun grip of the stock handle for improved comfort.  I paid less than $100 for the gun at Wal-Mart on sale.  So when I was al done I ended with a great rifle at a bargain price. Also just a note..9 time out of 10 the guns accuracy is based on the shooter, brand and weight size of pellets, and how you hold the gun.  You need to be patient and find the right pellet for your specific gun.  It takes time but you would be surprised on the ultimate results.  I am an airgun experts and own 100 plus airguns and almost every brand and weight of pellet.  I am accustomed to the process of tuning a gun to get it's ultimate potential.  It is a challenge but also a part of the hobby which I enjoy!

The Crosman TR77 pellet rifle looks great and functioned correctly, but group sizes were always over 3" at about 10yd. I did use a rest, both with and without the 'artillery' hold method. I was also using an upgraded AO scope, to no avail. Soda cans were quite safe from damage, being shot at with this gun!

As many reviews have said, the trigger pull is very long and heavy - which I'm sure contributes to the poor accuracy. As hard as I tried, I could not get the groups smaller. Different pellets may improve accuracy, but why wrestle with a difficult rifle? I returned it, and will be getting a better pellet rifle. "Buy cheap, and pay twice..."
