Ratings & Reviews+

D-Link Refurbished DAP-1320/re Wireless N300 Range Extender is rated 1.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Bought this range extender a few weeks ago. Took a little while to find a good place to install it, but that's probably more due to the layout of my house than the DLink unit. However, even in the most optimum place, the performance wasn't great. Let me elaborate: 1. I have a 15 Mbps internet connection, and my router is in my basement. When I am in the basement, my smartphone shows maximum signal strength (5 bars), and an internet speed test reports roughly 15 Mbps - so the router or the smartphone is not the problem. On the top floor, I get 1-2 bars of signal strength. A speed test gives me about 2-3 Mbps. With the device placed in the best location I could find, the signal strength is 4-5 bars (very good), and internet speed test shows around 6-7 Mbps. I was hoping for more improvement than that. This issue by itself would still be okay - at least it gives me an undeniably better signal where I need. But... 2. It keeps dropping signal. I don't just mean the signal gets really weak - the extender's SSID completely disappears from the list. If I'm connected to the extender, I lose wifi altogether - this is a big deal because I use voip calling on my phone, and it interrupts my calls by dropping signal. Dealbreaker! If it didn't drop signal, I would still be okay with it - perhaps 3 stars... but the way it is, I consider it pretty much unusable. If there's a problem with how I've set it up, and DLink could help solve it, I would update this review...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't last long I had bought this extender for getting a stronger wifi on another level of the house. It worked good for one day then it stopped working with the reciever end not powering up at all. It was a Christmas gift to us. I'm glad I didn't pay the fifty dollars it cost

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware of extenders with the wrong country code! I bought a NEW D-link DAP-1320 a while ago and have had trouble with ALL my WiFi ever since. I finally discovered that this was because it has a US country code and my main WiFi hub has a CA country code. Look it up -- this "causes severe problems" and generally slows down the whole network.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! It took me a few days to get it to work. Not sure why it finally connected as I did the same thing every times. Now that it's connected the signal is weak. Unfortunately there is no help on the internet for a weak signal. The signal from my router is stronger.
