Good idea for a smart postbox, well done. Sometimes the cloud server seems to have stability issues. However, when the cloud server communicates correctly with the app (Android or IOS) as well as with Danby Parcel Guard, everything works flawlessly. Perhaps improve the capacity and performance of the cloud server...

The Danby Parcel Guard is probably the best solution to the theft of parcels left at the door.

Honestly I love this mailbox. We got ours sometime after Christmas due to a porch thief and it was pretty easy to set up. It's a bit sensitive when the sun sets sometimes, but it's done it's job very well. Not to mention that having not just the ability to open it by a number key, but also a physical key AND my phone makes it super easy to get in to it.

The unit is basically ok, except for those in outlying areas or those that do not wish to plumb 120AC 100-200  yards to their fence line. Options are great as is the app, firmware up dates are easy. Camera recordings are clear and produces images usable for prosecution (clear faces, license plates, etc.). I was unable to get any technical specifications from the company and they do not offer a solar option. Confusing, as this unit operates on 24V DC, perfect for a solar panel application. I was able to solarize this unit quite easily and is my Guardian at the front gate. Large parcels will not fit into this (see item description), however a sign/placard informing the delivery driver to place the larger items over the fence or into the large parcel bin and cycle the door assures that we know something has arrived. You do get a notice when the Parcel Guard is approached, even if by an antelope or deer. You must securely mount this item to a concrete pedestal, and I would recommend internal mounting plates and four fasteners. Overall quality is also a four as some units may need to have the internal wiring moved/relocated for the parcel door to properly operate/cycle. If you are looking for a unit of this type, I do not believe that you can find a better solution. I am happy with mine.

Good Unit, Options

Who will be providing APP support for this product after October 28-2024?? My customers use this parcel box to drop off & pick up paperwork daily. It's useless if I can't set up codes through an app after this date. I can't share 2 keys with 40+ people!

Parcel Guard Smart Mailbox

The Danby Parcel Guard app is not compatible with the latest Android phones making the mail box largely pointless for the smart features. Danby needs to update the app ASAP

No App Support for Android 13 Despite the Marketing stating to the contrary

The Android app problem, can never view the caméra, can not open the door, never connect to Danby parcel guard, It always says cannot connect to server, for some reason Danby is not fixing the problem - all my setup is done properly, I have fast 1.5 giga internet, the parcel box is only 20 feet from my modem router
