I already own a Danby 6,000 A/C-still works great after 5 years!  So, I decided to try it again.  Awesome A/C!!  I'm glad I did.

This unit is attractive and puts out cool air.  It uses over 900 watts, after about 10 or 15 minutes of being on, when I left the energy saving option on.
I have a similar unit from 2006, same brand, same 6,000 BTU, nearly identical in looks, which puts out plenty of cold air, yet almost never exceeds the 590 watts consumption rating, and typically uses less than 550 watts.

I am very pleased so far with my Danby air conditioner. Quiet and efficient. Just takes a little getting used to  on how to maximize the flow for the rooms, but I am very happy. Only bad thing I read on this unit was the panel board, but I have no problems reading it. Great purchase

I installed this in my bedroom. I love it. It truly is the best air conditioner ive ever owned - and im old. Whomever designed this is a genius. How the fins are installed to block air from escaping the room is fantastic, the foam inserts eliminated street noise and help insulate the room from cool air escaping. How its installed in the window maximizes security which i love. Itâs sturdy and quietly cools quickly. Im ordering another.
