My mother has two of these, which I've envied for some time. They are great for pancakes, hash browns, and small batches of anything. You do need to accept that with use your pan is going to look a little funky. It's gorgeous when it first arrives, but seasoning does not proceed evenly. Just know that it's going to look kind of blotchy, and then embrace and love it. Cooks and cleans up like cast iron (just water and a good scour followed by a stovetop heating to dry it out, plus maybe a little oil)...but **so much easier** on the wrist, and heats a lot faster. Love it.

Favorite for function

de Buyer

First time making manicotti crepe and your pan was key to making them.  The low pan side wall compared to my regular small fry pan gave the perfect thin edges for crepe to cook properly on both sides.  Bought two more for gifts!   Can't wait to make a fruit type (apple) next!

Specialty pan for the win

My wife and I only cook with cast iron and some stainless, wife recently made a request for a light weight omelet / egg pan,
after researching, the carbon steel pans seemed a good choice for our needs. Based on research not many reviews though, as not all reviewers may be knowledgeable or proficent in thier reveiws. I found researching the "de Buyer" company more of a statement of product as "quality" does not require reveiwing it speaks clearly for itself. My wife is extemely impressed as am I, with form and perfomance.

Fantastic !

Perfect for the crepes my husband has been wanting. I wanted to keep it simple and easy and this pan works perfectly for both. The pan isn't too large for me to handle. My first batch of crepes came out without a hitch. I'm getting the “batter swirl” thing down too. Easy and highly recommend.

I like this style. I have the largest size and use it often for crepes, steaks, fish, omelets. heats fast and is light weight. these have the spot welded handles which makes them less expensive. I expect this to be a great addition for quick small item.
