I'm so happy with this purchase my only regret is no purchasing it sooner! I bought it for my 5 and 8 year old sons and it's is so comfy, locks the seat belt in a nice place and I love the USB feature! The adjustable height is awesome and eaisle could work for a kid years passed the age of 8!!
It's not an issue for me but I will warn others they are large for a booster and take up about the same room as a carseat

Only regret is not purchasing sooner!!

We love this car seat - this is the 2nd one that we've bought. My son finds it very comfortable, it provides a lot of safety and support and I especially love that it uses the UAS so that it can be secured into the car even when not in use.

Great seat!

Wish I would have purchased this sooner. My 5 year old sits comfortably and the seat does not shift as it is secured via latch. Quality materials and well constructed. I purchased two Britax car seats because they touted the fact that it supports up to 70 lbs. Too bad a 70 lb child would only fit in the the seat if he/she is under two feet tall! You live and learn, I guess. It was an expensive lesson. I highly recommend this product. Thanks Diono!

Worth Every Penny

I just bought two of these car seats for my 6 year old twins (I wanted to keep them in a high back booster and they were too tall for the other ones we have). I looked at different options for highback boosters - I found the Graco Turbobooster to be too flimsy. The Evenflo big kid booster seems OK but doesn't seem to have a lot of side impact protection. I ordered the Diono Cambria seats and I am very impressed with the amount of side impact protection. The seat belt guide is great - my two kids move around a lot and the seat belt stays firmly in place over the shoulder (unlike the other seats I had). The seats are padded as well and are very comfortable - my kids really like them. The UAS connection is a bonus - many seats in this price range don't have this and it ensures that the seats don't move around when the child is getting into and out of the seat (this is a problem with the other boosters we have and our kids sometimes fall out of the car because the seats move). The Diono Cambria seats are probably larger than other high back boosters but the added safety and comfort is worth it. It is well designed and my kids can buckle themselves in by themselves with these seats (they couldn't do this with other seats). I don't need to have space for a 3rd passenger in my back seat so the size isn't an issue for me - I'd rather keep my kids safe and comfortable. These seats are excellent value and can convert to no back boosters. And the other bonus is that these seats can be used up to 63" in height - the other boosters only go to 56". I have tall kids so this was another reason why I chose the Cambria seats over Graco seats. I am extremely pleased with these seats!

Well made and safe car seat

We bought 2 after my husband and son were in an accident. It delivers everything it claims. My 6 year old does up his own belt, the seat stays in place and he can get in and out safely. Great colors , great design , great car seat. I'm completely comfortable with my son in it and he loves it too!

Innovative design

My friend has a Diono and I immediately wanted to buy one for my two children. For the price I would expect a little more padding my children love it more comfortable than any other high back booster car seat they have sat in. It also has anchors which is a plus. Like tho color options I have a orange and a purple one.

High back booster

Product arrived quickly & order was easily placed, but the car seat came unassembled and had no instructions with it. It also shows that it was manufactured in 2014, so I'm guessing that's why it is on sale. For families with more than one child, that might be nice to know, since car seats generally expire after 6 years.

I purchased this for my almost 6yr old. This is a nice looking highback from a trusted brand and exactly what I was looking for. I was concerned with numerous reviews hinting that this seat is so large they had to return it. Luckily this seat fits in a Hyundai Tucson. There were no instructions in the box, not sure if this is standard.

Great look trusted brand

We bought this for our 6 year old because it looked comfy and safer than other boosters due to the head protection. I liked how the head rest easily adjusted to fit your desired height. We didn't use the latch system as this was in the back seat of a grand caravan on one side (grand caravan only has one set of latch connectors in the middle which is a very poor design for a family van). We just tucked the latch tightening straps on the front under the seat padding since they weren't needed. The biggest problem with this seat is that due to its much larger design, our daughter had to pull the seat belt out very far to buckle herself in. Most of the time the belt had to be pulled all the way out which activated the seat belt locking mechanism. To disengage that, you have to retract the seat belt all the way back in, and start again. To do this, every time you had to remove the seat belt from the booster seat loop that holds the belt a the childs shoulder to get enough slack. We battled with this for a week and had enough and returned the car seat. We have since opted for a smaller booster seat. I really liked this seat, but had to return it due to its very large design.

Too large

This booster was very poorly constructed. The stitching was very uneven and sloppy. It made me think the whole seat was assembled without much concern for accuracy or detail. If the part you see looks bad, I presume the body of the booster was constructed in the same manner. It was also very uncomfortable. The padding on the seat was very thin and I was able to feel the hard plastic underneath. It would not be comfortable to sit in for a long trip. I have two Diono Montereys that I absolutely LOVE, which makes it so disappointing for me to dislike this Diono seat so much. Although this has nothing to do with Diono or the seat itself, I ordered the pink seat and I received the gray one.
