Ratings & Reviews+

Diono radian r120 convertible car seat is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from We bought this carseat ... We bought this carseat for our 10 month old. My husband and I are both quite tall and managed to fit the seat rear-facing in the middle backseat of my Elantra without the angle adjuster, it's a tight fit, but as soon as we can use the angle adjuster it will give us quite a lot more room! We can easily fit other carseats and boosters on either side of the seat for any visiting and future children. The ease of the latch system also gets a thumbs up! The only thing that is difficult is that it is quite heavy making it hard to move from one car to the next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Love Love We have the Radian and RXT (only difference I find is the side head rests). This car seat is solid, the cover is very easy to remove and clean (as kids are messy), they are narrow for passengers to sit beside comfortably, and I love that my child can sit backwards for longer (safest position). I work in the emergency services and it brings me comfort that my child is in a full metal frame and is safe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I bought three of these car seats for a few reasons, but mainly because I need to fit three across my Odyssey, and Diono fits that bill. I researched for MONTHS, and between the RXT and the R120, I decided to go with the R120 simply because it was cheaper. I got them, took one out of the box, got it all set up, was SUPER EXCITED (my kids thought I was crazy for being so happy over a car seat, haha), and when it came time for me to get the kids set up in the seats, I noticed that they've grown! No problem; let me adjust the headrest. Oh. Wait a minute; there IS NO ADJUSTABLE HEADREST. The R120 is ALMOST darn near perfect. I'm not sure why I didn't consider the adjustable headrest, but I have no choice but to take these back and exchange them for the RXT (which DOES have an adjustable headrest). My kids are between the ages of 4-6, and an 8 year old, so the headrest is a must-have for me. Other than my mistake, I would totally keep these seats. Diono makes excellent car seats and would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent car seat Very slim design so doesn't take up too much space and my little one can see out of the sides of the seat. Very sturdy and comfortable - she sleeps easily in it when we are on long car rides.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Radian 120 and 100 We have a radian 120 in our babys main transporting vehicle and a radian 100 in other vehicle. Cushioning is great, instruction videos are easy to follow, the straps adjusted easily on both models and feel well made. It is heavy but when considering construction and safety reviews it is justified. In some ways the option to fold down and carry (airtravel, etc) is awesome BUT remember it's a Beast. It has tuck holes in back construction to 'hide' excess straps which is nice with rear facing. They both have the front tether system for rear facing. The one improvement I would suggest, is on the seat belt tracking area it is opened towards the back. So when trying to feed through belt while carseat is rear facing the seat belt tends to fall in that notch. My husband and I are both rather tall and have larger hands. Needless to say it was probably more difficult for us then average adult. So slap a thin piece of plastic to cover notch as a 'guide' for the seat belt and I'd be happy as a clam. Overall we love the radians and if more babies are ever added to our family we will be buying more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sest once you know the ins and outs Overall I am happy with this seat, my 3 year old has been in it since 9 months and is still rf. Features I love: Rear-face to 45 lbs--this will get most kids to 3-4 years old easily Low profile--easy to get him in and out in my small vehicle Comfortable padding-- for long rides He is always comfortable Ability to rf tether Narrow so it allows 2 other seats or passengers in the back seat Features that could be improved: Angle rf--I do have the angle adjuster, and it is a must if you have seAt installed behind the passenger seat. Even with the aa, there is limited room for the passenger up front. I wish this seat would come with the angle adjuster built in, a la some of the other convertibles on the market. harness strap adjustment-- this harness has a ratchet system, so it takes some time to get the straps snug. I try not to loosen them, but my husband tends to loosen them when he takes my son out, so I find it to be a pain to constantly adjust them. No lock-offs--I'm still using latch but when I have to switch to seatbelt I am worried that it will take a while to get a good install without belt lock-offs. Most other seats in the market at this high level come with lock-offs. I would not trust others (grandma, etc) to properly install the seat without lock-offs, so we use a different brand convertible rf in grandma's car since it gets taken out a lot and she has a hard time using the latch system. Seat fabric--we have the red r120, and the fabric is easilly frayed With Velcro from sneakers. The fabric on the newer seats looks more durable. I would buy this seat again because I am confident in my ability to install properly and tighten the harness, and it will keep my lo safely rf for a while longer.
