I bought this today to replace my second, or was it third?, Swiffer Sweeper Vac. It was like fate or something, I was lamenting the fact that yet another Swiffer battery had bit the big one and a commercial for the Dirt Devil Vac+Dust came on. I knew I had to try it. We have a cat who sheds a lot and there is only one room in my house that doesn't have a "bare" floor, and soon even it will, so the aforementioned Swiffer Vacs got a workout. This picked up things that the Swiffer Vac couldn't even dream of sucking up. I was so excited that I vacuumed all of the floors, even though I did so just yesterday. I couldn't believe how much got left behind that this little baby picked up. I love the location of the on/off button, it's right on top of the handle within easy reach. It's very sturdy and easily maneuverable. The "wings" on the side that bend up to clean baseboards are a little stiff but I'm sure that it will become easier to use them over time as they loosen up a big and I become more used to them. The Swipe that came with it is very soft and I love that it is washable as opposed to disposable.  I opted for the corded model for two reasons, the first being the issues I've had with the batteries on the Swiffer Vacs in the past. The other being that the outlet that I would be plugging this in to frequently gets used for other things and no one ever remember to plug the sweeper back in, then when I want to sweep the floors I can't. While I was at the store I decided to compare prices for the two and was pleased to learn that this was no more expensive. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Don't get me wrong, I loved my Swiffer Vac at the time, but this knocks them out of the park and I wish it had been available back when I had to bought my second. I'm also very pleased with the fact that this comes with a warranty and will highly recommend this to anyone with "bare" floors.

I'm Canadian and we made a trip to Grand Forks recently. This was an item on the top of my shopping list since I saw it online. It's not available anywhere near us here in Canada yet. We have 2 dogs, one being an old english sheepdog mix, and the fur bunnies are terrible. This product has surpassed my expectations. It picks up all the fur bunnies and other odds and ends the dogs drag in from outside. I use it everyday on my hardwood floors, which are throughout the house. The cord is an excellent length for our house. I had tried a swiffer sweep and vac a couple of years ago, but wasn't happy with it's performance, so when I saw this item, I figured for the price I would give it a try. It's like the old mop like sweepers my mother used in the 60's but 100 times better with the vacuum. It makes keeping my floors clean so much easier. Now, if you could just invent a man that will pick up after hisself, my life would really be easy!

Love It!!

I bought the Vac+Dust last week and have been happy with it so far. The cord is long, 22 feet, and I can do the hallway and a room without unplugging. I like the fact you can wash the pad rather than buying expensive throw away pads that end up in the landfill. The pad seems to really get that last little bit of dust on the hardwoods that a vacuum alone leaves behind. The suction is better than I expected, it can pick up something the size of dog food without any trouble (I did this as a test). I wish the fan did not blow directly up towards your face but that hasn't really been an issue. My concern is how long it will last before the motor gives out...for $40 I think it is worth the investment as it really works well on my hardwood floors. I have been researching for a long time and almost bought a $400 vacuum but decided to give this a try first.

Let me just start by saying I was very skeptical about those little vac. I did the want to buy another one that didn't work out for us. So my grandmother actually got this for my kids to help clean up recently and I was quite surprised how well we have liked it so far. It does have decent suction, unlike others I've tried. The kids are able to use it easily it's very light. I wouldn't say that this could replace a full vac but for day to day use it is amazing. I have 3 pets and 2 kids. We get messy quickly around here. And with this coming fall season this will be great for the leaves that get tracked In on everyone's fur or feet. I do have 2 types of carpet and 2 types of hard floor and I've been able to use it on all 3. Even my throw rugs! Which is nice because I was trying g to wash them since my big vacuum would suck up the whole entire rug when I tried to use it. The cord has a good reach for the size of vacuum you do have to move it room to room. But that's fine since it's usually used I'm my main area of living kitchen, entry way and living room mostly. I highly recommend this of you have kids and pets, and hate dust leaves and fur everywhere. It's great.

So glad I got one!

I bought this 3 months ago to replace a swiffer vac. I have hardwood floors and it cleans great. I can clean the whole house without worrying about a battery running dead. I love the swiffer cloths so I attach them to this product and it works well. I had to modify the dust pad,  I removed the red yarn. I had emailed swiffer to make a corded product but they don't seem to mind all the swiffers that go into the land fill. Thanks DirtDevil for a great product.

I already bought the Dirt Devil Vac+Dust, but I left it in Florida when we came home for the summer. Well, I had to have one here because it takes the work out of vinyl flooring...I got on-line immediately upon realizing I had left my favorite tool for cleaning at my winter home and bought me one for here!

Best Little Vac!!!

I purchased Two of these. Both have great warranties. Customer service was great. I use these stick brooms on my Kitchen Floor. Carpet and for Cat hair! Good Product.

Bought Two of These

The Vac+Dust is powerful enough to pick up pet hair but not so powerful as to blow dust/hair back into the air. This is our second Vac+Dust; our original lasted three years despite daily use.

Great for picking up dog hairs!

I was *thrilled* when I discovered the Dirt Devil Vac + Dust with the microfiber cleaning pad!! I was even more excited when I got it home and took it for a test run. It was phenomenal. It combined everything I loved about my swiffer vac with a model I could plug in!! Considering that I have over 2000 sq ft of flooring without carpets I was overjoyed that I could replace the three (yes, three!!!) Swiffer vacs I owned with one Dirt Devil Dust + Vac  AND I would never have to buy box after box of sweeper cloths again! Aside from being a tiny bit disappointed that the motor was a touch weaker than the Swiffer I was very happy with it's performance. However, I have used it only twice and the motor is shorting out every time I turn it on. Within the first few seconds after pressing the power button it shuts right back off again. I am so very disappointed because it really was an awesome tool! 

So sad!! :(

I've had this for about six months and wish I'd never bought it. I purchased it to replace a Swiffer vac and wish I'd just bought another Swiffer. Thinking a corded model would have more power, I was sadly mistaken.  It will push the dust around, and pick up some of it, but the microfiber pad pushes it so far up from the floor, that it doesn't get much suction. I have arthritis and it's hard to maneuver without pain, and the on/off switch is in a spot where I frequently turn it off on accident.  I own a Dirt Devil upright vac and love it, but this is just not for me.
