Description & Features+

The Dr. Brown's BPA Free Polypropylene Newborn Feeding Set offers a wonderful feeding experience with innovative vent technology. Dr Brown's bottles use a patented 2-piece internal vent system for your baby's comfort. This system creates positive-pressure flow for vacuum-free feeding that is similar to breastfeeding. The breast milk or formula flows freely without nipple collapse. As the baby feeds, air is channeled from the Level One nipple collar through the vent system to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breast milk or formula so oxidation is prevented, thereby maintaining essential vitamins such as C, A and E. The vent system eliminates air bubbles in the formula or milk, which helps to reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping and gas. Includes: three 8 oz standard bottles, two 4 oz standard bottles, 5 Level One silicone nipples, 2 Level Two silicone nipples, five 2-piece internal vents, 2 storage/travel caps, 3 cleaning brushes and instructions. Idea for gift giving!

Ratings & Reviews+

Dr. Brown's Newborn Standard Feeding Set is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 232.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from They will really reduce colic This review comes from first time parents that have no intention of posing as super parents. Just two young first timers that have encounter many difficulties and challenges and would like to share our honest experience with those who, like us, felt impotent when nothing they tried seemed to help their little one. I exclusively pump and supplement with formula and this has been our experience with Dr. Browns. We bought these bottles as a last resort for our one month old daughter. She got very bad colic and it was always almost impossible to get gas out from her. We could burp her for a long time without success, but still could hear and feel the gases in her tummy. She had no acid reflux. On the contrary, once everything was in it seems impossible to come out. No gripe water, gas drops, or burping techniques would help. We tried Playtex Drop-ins for a few weeks and it was a waste of money. I could literally hear hear swallowing gas at every single gulp, and it was especially exasperating when it happened at three in the morning. It was also an exaggerated consumption and production of plastic waste. Then finally we decided to try Dr. Browns as a last resort before giving in to just waiting patiently until her digestive system matures. But, to our great relive they actually worked AS ADVERTISED. And I underscore as advertised, because if you read carefully they say that the bottles help REDUCE colic, not completely eliminate it. And that is precisely what they do. The moment we started using them we noticed a significant reduction in the gas she swallowed from the bottle. There were no bubbles at all and no swallowing sounds. The rumbling in her tummy became minimal. Burping became easier and when the gases finally came out they were significantly less. Best of all, she complaint and cried much much less. Finally she was eating at peace, not struggling with every single gulp. This was such a good relieve. She still gets gas but its so much more manageable. The bottles actually REDUCED her colic. Now to the washing dilemma. Many people complain there are too many parts to wash, and its true. Every bottle has 7 parts. But, to be honest, the first time I washed them I did it with hope and now I do it with pleasure. And believe me, this is coming from a person who exclusively pumps. That means that instead of just putting my baby to the breast I have to pump, feed, and wash and prepare bottles. If those bottles have 7 parts I would be the first with a right to complain. But I don't. Honestly, I much more prefer to spend half an hour washing these bottles than spend 4, 5, 6 hours watching my baby eating with pain, writhing in my arms, crying. I would rather feel bored those extra minutes in the sink than experiencing that frustrating maternal inadequacy feeling every afternoon. We first tried the 4-pack bottle set, now we have 9 bottles and are planning to buy more soon. At first I washed them by hand but now I just run one load in the dishwasher in the morning while making breakfast. Then I sterilize and prepare the bottles for the rest of the day. Since I still just have 9, for now I have to do this twice a day. But once I have more I would have to do it just once a day. It is not hard at all! Finally, some people complain of dripping. Honestly, mine don't drip at all. The only thing that could be similar to that is if you shake the bottle vigorously or let is fall to the side, then when you take the cap off you will have milk everywhere. So just avoid doing that. Every single bay is different, but I hope this review helps those parents who are intently looking for a reasonable solution to their problem. There are so many stupid reviews out there. People complaining because the paint of the bottle faded away or because the bottles didn't eliminate gas completely. Reality is there is no miracle solution for colic. Perhaps one day there will be a super bottle but for now, this is the best out there. Good luck and hope you get your sleep back soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solving Colic Symptoms I am a first time mom and my baby girls has had extreme colic for the past 5 weeks. Every night around 4-5pm until she went to bed she would scream in pain. After changing the formula for the 4th time and giving her prescription medicine and still not having the problem solved, we decided to make one more change....We WERE using the playtex drop-ins, what a mistake that was....GOD BLESS DR BROWNS. I have a new baby! Yes the bottles have more parts to clean, but it is way worth it! I cannot believe the difference. By the end of the night her little belly was not distened and looked normal. I suggest buying the mixing pitcher that is sold seperately it works great. My little one eats 8 4 oz bottles in a 24 hour period and I bought the infant starter set which has 3 8oz and 3 4oz bottles, which is just enough to get us thru a full period. I highly recommend this product, just read the directions and follow their advice and you will not have any leaks and a new baby to care for:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bottles ive tried for my reflux baby I've tried Avent Naturals , Playtex VentAire and NUK bottles. They all caused my baby to reflux ALOT ! The formula would come spilling out of her mouth and she would vomit often from the air trapped in her belly. Then someone told me to try the Dr. Brown bottles.....WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MADE. My baby no longer vomits while eating, the milk don't pour out of her mouth and she is sooo much happier. I will never ever use another brand bottle. I LOVE THESE !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST BABY BOTTLES ON THE MARKET This is for my third child and I used these bottles for my first two. Dr. Brown's makes great bottles and Wal-Mart has the best price for them. There is more cleaning to be done to these bottles than a lot of others because of all the parts, but it is worth it to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These Bottles Work My daughter is 7 weeks old and we have been using Dr. Brown's Bottles for about 4 weeks now and I wish I would have started with these! I am breastfeeding but I pump often and these by far are the best bottles to use. She also has acid reflux which causes her to spit up more often than normal. But since I have been using these bottles her gas and spit ups has been reduced tremendously. I definitely recommend all moms to atleast give them a shot!
