I do all of the "odd jobs" around the house, which include fixing the cases of other implements or parts that have broken from years of use (or abuse), carpentry, making custom containers of all sorts as necessary, plumbing, electrical fixes, etc.  I also do some purely creative work.  I had a much older model rechargeable Dremel and was so thrilled when it finally died (I'm one of those uber practical people).  I love the corded model (everything I buy now is corded - the battery models just aren't worth the trade-off for power and readiness).  I also like all of the accessories available now.  It's also very steady in the hand and quiet (comparatively.  The tips are easy to change, too, even for an old lady!! :)

Love the product and it arrived in time. But there's a difference in the price here and the banco statement. Here appears 123.30$ and on my bank statement it appears that it cost 170 I would like to know why there's such difference in price.

Compact & Powerful - the Dremel does it all; sanding, etching, polishing, etc. I've even used it to get the old dirt out of the window tracks. You will love this!

Best "Does It All" Household Tool

i had one long time ago this one is even beter i also purchased the wand attachment highly recommended its easier to freehand your work without the extra weight  its like using a two pound pencil not as easy as a regular pencil thats what the wand offers

THIS DREMEL WAS A SPECIAL GIFT FOR MY HUSBAND. I PURCHASED A SMALL DREMEL IN 1995 TO USE WITH MY CRAFT PROJECTS. MY HUSBAND NEEDED SOMETHING TO USE, LIKE A DREMEL, SO I LET HIM USE IT...NOW, 12 YEARS LATER, IT IS ON IT'S LAST LEGS! HE IS SUCH A WONDERFUL HUSBAND, I WANTED TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE WITH A LOT OF OPTIONS. I SAW THIS NEW DREMEL AND THE SEARCH WAS OVER.
HE WAS SO HAPPY WHEN HE OPENED THE BOX AND STARTED LOOKING AT ALL THIS DREMEL CAN DO, HE WAS LIKE A KID AT CHRISTMAS! THANKS FOR CARRYING THIS!

HUSBAND SPEACHLESS & VERY HAPPY!

I bought this from Lowe's when they had a sale.  My first use was to do some cutting on a pistol holster to modify it to fit one of my guns.  The Dremel and I completed the task very well.  As I was using the Dremel, I was amazed that is was so easy and did the job so well.  I also sanded some of the rough edges and it performed perfectly.  Honestly, I don't know how I got along without the Dremel!  Excellent Product.

4000-3/34 High Performance Rotary Review

I bought this dremel a month ago for work. This was a replacement for a dremel (same model) that I had got almost 2 years ago. I really like this tool and use it everyday. I am a dog groomer and use it to file the dogs nails. When the first dremel stopped working I figured I would send it in to be fixed to use on my personal dogs and I would purchase a new one for work. I used the new dremel for LESS than a month and it stopped working Christmas Eve Eve, the busiest time of the year for groomers! I needed a working one now so I returned the stupid thing back to where I purchased it and they replaced it. There is obviously an issue with the switch to turn it on because that is what stopped working on both dremels. Hopefully this dremel will work long enough for me to find another tool.

wonderful tool when it works

Purchased this ten years ago to replace an older model that   had stopped working. Subsequently replaced the brushes in the old tool and continued to use it. I used the 4000 tool for about the fifth time today, it started to feel hot so I let it run with no load to allow it to cool before turning it off then it failed to restart. Very poor quality.

Failed after a few uses

This is the 2nd dremel rotary Ive owned in the last 2 years.  Something always goes wrong with th variable speed controller until it doesnt work at all. maybe good for wood and plastics but not steel or aluminum seems to overheat the the variable speed controller
