Ratings & Reviews+

Drive Medical Dual Pad Steerable Knee Walker with Basket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 140.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tool Having had ankle surgery awhile ago, I purchased this item to make it easier for me to get around the house. It really works fine, however, I am older, and heavier, and it wears me out just to get around the house. If you are in decent shape, it will do you a good job. Goes well on carpet, and REALLY goes well on hardwood or concrete. Just take it easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You'll trade your cell phone for it A must have for any non-weight bearing foot and ankle medical recommendation. Based on other reviews, I used mine with (the Roscoe) seat cover right out of the box. Perfect together. Better than crutches for the following: 1. Stability. Two two inch at best rubber feet positioned who knows where and another limb having to overcompensate = no good. 2. Rash or pain around crutch area from extended use. 3. Ability to not have to continuously suspend affected limb. You can rest it on the scooter. You can devote the proper amount of time to meaningfully complete tasks. 4. Definitely easier and quicker to get around. The breaks keep you in control. Sometimes I would start flinging myself around on my crutches and the momentum makes it difficult to stop safely sometimes. 5. Can carry things around on basket and with free hand. Reasons to buy over other scooters: 1. Locking break. 2. Good breaks: double caliper on rear wheels. 3. Basket 4. Stability. Although the turning radius is wide, if you can parallel park or pick up a dog you can get this scooter quickly in the direction you need to be. The wider set front wheels affects turning radius, but it is better than ending up on the floor. 5. Relatively light 6. Decent size wheels can get over carpet and floor edging. 7. Arrives mostly assembled. Things to be aware of when you open the box: 1. Check all the packaging and make sure you collect all the parts: I almost threw out the bolt that connects the handle bars to the main steering component and the handle for the basket that you can use if you choose to take the basket with you. (Yes, the basket rests securely in place. It can taken with you with ease. 2. Watch your fingers when assembling and removing packaging until you become aware of what direction each part travels 3. It comes packaged well. Take it easy on the packaging because metal will fly. The handlebar is taped on there like a son of a thief, but not connected to anything one you get it free of the packing. You might fling it around because you think it is attached, like the rest of the parts with the exception of the basket, its handle and the handlebar bolt. Do not throw out the handlebar bolt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for my daughter.. My daughter is 8 and she broke her ankle. Her first day back at school on crutches she got knocked down, so we thought this would be more comfortable and safe. It was!!!! The only thing we find that she doesn't like is it doesn't turn too well. You have to make Wide turns and when you have to use an elevater at school it's pretty difficult. Other than that this has made our lives a little easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really is a game changer! One reviewer stated that this is a game changer. I agree 100%! The turning radius isn't great, but if it were anymore, I think it would be easy to tip over. It's a bit rough going over higher thresholds, but overall, this thing is fantastic. Even with the cons, this thing is SO much better than crutches.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Good except brake doesn't hold well as other reviewers have mentioned. Handbrake needed for full stop. Arrived faster than promised, which was great!
