I bought this Dyson vacuum to replace my 12 year old Dyson Animal. It truly is the best vacuum I have ever owned. With 3 kids, a cat and a large dog, I need to be able to rely on getting the house clean. This Dyson is easy to manoeuvre, can get under hard to reach areas and eliminates dust and animal hair superbly! I would highly recommend this vacuum!

[Employee of walmartcanada] Wow! on arrival we vacuumed the living room carpet that had just been done with our old vacuum cleaner - and pulled a full canister of dirt. The extra heads for animals is excellent and the dog liked it too.

This is my second Dyson. My daughter 'borrowed' my first one. It is powerful and very maneuverable. It is a little heavy, though.

Bought this dyson after years of cheap low end vacuums. What a difference!! Can't rave enough about it. Grooming tool is killer!! Wow. Wow. Wow. You gotta buy it. Worth every penny!!!!

Best Vacuum Ever!!

Mostly pro's litlle problems that could have been easily resolved in my opinion.
Its expensive but Dysons are apparently the best for now and it is powerful enought to suck you carpet of the floor if its a light carpet.

I don't feel like taking the time to do this again

Before I got my Dyson 66 I was using my central vac and my old Kenmore that I thought was doing a good job. Was I wrong ! In the past I had been putting baking soda on my rugs to get rid of the dog smell. I thought that my central vac was getting the baking soda out. When I vacuumed with the Dyson 66 its canister was almost full of baking soda, dog hair and dirt. This was only from doing my living room rug and I have a small living room. I read other reviews saying this and I thought they were probably exaggerating. They're Not.This vacuum is amazing. The only problem is that I am a small not very strong woman and I found it to be heavy. It was really hard to use on the stairs but I think they expect you to use the telescopic wand and attachment brush. But my stairs were very dirty and I wanted to use the attachment that is used to clean the rugs because it has more suction and the revolving brush. The telescopic wand is difficult to use. It is very stiff it's like it needs to be broken in by keeping it stretched out when your not using it which I think I'm actually going to do so I can use it. I gave it only 4 stars because of the stair and wand problem. But I give it 5 stars Excellent for cleaning the rugs.

The canister was full

I've had this vacuum for just under a year and the hose broke. It's very rigid and it pulls you back when you use the wand. Also very heavy. Going up and down the stairs with it its extremely difficult. It would be a great product for people who live on one level and have carpet. Not the greatest on hardwood floors.
