So I was torn between this Braun Series 8 and the Series 9.  The series 8 has a lot of the same features but is a lot less. This razor battery lasts a long time and charges quickly.  I really like this electric razor and it is definitely a great value for the price.

The Braun series 8 (8517s) is an excellent shaver - it really does give you a close shave, is much faster than a shaver with rotary heads, is easy to clean, charges quickly (as promised) and comes with a sturdy, suitable travel case.  The only very small drawback for some people might be that it is noisier than expected.  Not stocked in most stores, but online order delivered promptly (by Walmart).

Been awhile since I used a electric razer and mostly have used a Norelco model. Thought I would try a foil shave since it had good reviews. I think it does shave well but I need to spend more time going over some areas of face many times to get a close enough shave. The razor is also really noisy, more then any rotary model I have owned.
