Such a good product! It stayed all night, and did not rub off. If I don't want the color to be too loud, I usually wipe off the glossy coat after it sets, and use a lip plumping gloss over the top or even a good lip moisturizer. I've also noticed that the longer you let it set, the more vibrant/strong the color will be once you wipe it off.

It doesn't move!

walmart.com

I was looking for a lip gloss stain that wouldn't make my lips dry. This was pretty good except it really isn't a stain because it wipes off with a napkin quite easily. But if you don't use a napkin, it does last for a while. The shade was perfect!

Looking for stain

This is easy to apply and the color lasts for hours. It enhances my natural lip color nicely. It doesn't look like I am wearing lipstick, just brightens the color.

Works well

the color is great the more you apply the better it looks..its more of build your color since it a tint.its my to go and have it on me or in my purse.

great

My favorite lip tint. Doesn't leave your lips looking cracked. Spreads easily and evenly. I haven't used it as a cheek tint/blush, but I've heard of some people doing that. I'm sure it would work fine. A little can go a long ways. I'm pale and I think the power mauve looks best on my skin tone (I think a lot of others think that too because that shade is always sold out in stores). If the color is too intense you can wipe away some of the color, but I wouldn't say it lifts super easily. I can eat and drink and have the color stay on fine.

Pros: it is longer lasting than a regular lipstick or gloss, and it doesn't gum up on cups. It is not as drying as a stain, which I appreciate since I dislike dry lips more than sticky cups. Cons: it doesn't last as long as I would have thought a stain should. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's the closest to being a "one product wonder" that I've found so far. Nice packaging too: it closes with a satisfying click.

It is a little of both

elfcosmetics.com

I love lip stains and for the price, I will definitely be repurchasing these! I got the beige and red and love them both. Although I wish the color would last a little longer, they do work really well and once the gloss wears off it leaves a beautiful color on the lips.

Great Lip Stain for the Price!

It is a decent lip stain, and if you get the right shade for you it looks beautiful, my only problem is the packaging (I purchased when the shorter packaging was still used, can't say for the new packaging). I have used it a couple of times, and any time I try to use it there is nothing in the wand and it feels super dry trying to get it on my lips. I took the stopper out to see how empty it was, and I was so surprised to see that IT WAS LITERALY FULL. I was so close to tossing it because It just felt so unusable. However I did try using it as a blush stain after I realized how much product was left, and it is a VERY gorgeous blush. I will continue to use and enjoy this product, but the packaging is very unfortunate.

Good

I was excited to order this lip stain in a nice, neutral shade. Boy, was I disappointed. As a stain, I expected the colour to last hours but it didn't last at all, it wore off even before the gloss part stayed on. I would classify it as a nice lip gloss but not a lip stain. (As for the colour, it's so nude that it matches my lips, it looks like I just have some lip gloss on.)

Disappointing

It applie like a gloss and stayed like that unless you want to wipe it off, which is what it it'll come off on its own. The stain left behind is very patchy and comes off very easily. There is no staying power and no uniformity. The staining color is very off too.

Don't understand the appeal

e.l.f. Cosmetics Glossy Lip Stain long-wear lip stain with a sheer gloss-to-stain finish and one-step application; lightweight, non-drying, buildable formula gives transfer-resistant sheer colour and a healthy sheen on lips, often used as a subtle cheek tint for travel.
