I bought this as a last attempt to find a primer that worked for my oily skin. I also sweat from my face. Which all primers before this one melted off. This one STAYS ON ALL DAY AND NIGHT and I couldn't love something more!!!

My skin gets rather oily in some spots and rather dry in some spots. As usual, my T zone is the worst. I, also, have very cool skin so I do not use liquid foundation. It either makes me look like a vampire, too yellow, or too orange. I use mineral powder foundation because of this. Mineral foundation can change colors depending on moisturizer and primer, on me at least. It will orange out most of the time. This primer not only suits my needs concerning oily skin but it does not cause adverse effects when mixing with my moisturizer and mineral powder foundation color wise. I do not use it like a spray; I spray it into my hand and pat it on after I put on my moisturizer then I let it dry.

Only Primer I Can Use

I was the type of person that didn't believe in primers. I thought it was all bogus... until I decided to try this primer mist. O. M. G. I had no idea it would work this well! I tried it without makeup and my face looked blurred and matte. I tried it before and after makeup and my makeup has never looked so good in my life. I received so many compliments about how flawless my skin looked. Highly recommend this product!!

I had no idea!

I bought this along with the elf mattifying lotion, and together they allow me to stay shine free for 6 hours. I'm incredibly oily and I normally get shiny after 3 hours or even 2 hours on a bad day. I apply this after toner and before the lotion - which I then follow with my makeup. Seems to be the magic combo for me which has enabled me to actually forget about my skin for most of the day. My makeup also creases less which is an added bonus.

Great when paired with other products

I tend to get oily with foundations after a few hours. I also have very sensitive skin and I can see my pores with my foundation no matter what primer I use. But this really helps smooth my skin and set a good base for my foundation. I use a translucent powder on top of my foundation as well and this is the perfect mix with my products to help control my oil. Love this product

Really does control oil and a good base primer

I've been using this product for about two weeks and it works really really well! My makeup would usually start breaking down and I would be oily almost immediately after stepping out of the house before this primer, but now it stays matte for up to 5-6 hours ! The only downside is the chemical smell but that gets masks quickly by my other makeup so it's fine :)

Works like a charm !

Let me say first that this is a wonderful product, but not great as a primer by itself. (It would be a good stand-alone product, though, if you have oily skin but don't wear foundation.) When it dries it leaves a powdery finish that foundation will not glide smoothly over. However, this paired with the Matte+ Oil Control Primer (pink squeeze bottle) is an unbeatable combination that will keep you grease-free for hours and hours. Use this mist first, let it dry, then use the primer on top. You're welcome.

Good stuff

I bought this product to actually use throught the day to replenish my makeup. I have very oily skin so after a couple of hours no matter what foundation I use I get oily and have to blot and use a blotting powder. So I figured I would add this to my regimine but my main and really only complaint is the spray is so strong. The mist should definitely be a finer softer spray so as not to disturb the makeup you are trying to replinish. I may try to replace the nozzle with a nozzle to another product that has a finer mist.

Powerful spray

I Like the product so far but just like a few other ELF mists that I have purchased the mist itself is not even. Globs and fine droplets as well as one side spraying better. Than the other. Please try to fix this. I would easily pay a dollar more to have a nice light even mist. In the mean time I decant which is unfortunate because it a nice looking bottle. Thanks a bunch

Like the product but...

Ive used this primer for a week straight now, and so far it's made no difference in the oiliness of my face. I still have to blot almost immediately after i'm done applying my makeup, and many times throughout the day. I have sensitive and very oily skin and all this product did was cause breakouts.
