Wonderful Brush

I LOVE this brush! I use it all over the face for powder foundation. This is soft and fluffy, too big to do contouring but perfect for all over the face. You can use this for finishing/translucent powder too, to finish up your makeup. Synthetic bristles are easy to manage, though I haven't yet washed it.

Really nice soft brush that looks great displayed on my vanity.  The brush is very fluffy so perfect for powders.  I usually use this for bronzing my skin.  I find it too large to contour, but it's perfect to add a little sunkissed colour to the face.  It would also work well with setting or finishing powder.  I've never have a problem with ELF brushes shedding.  This brush washed well and retains it shape.

Great brush

Love this brush. At first I assumed it was too big to contour with, but I was wrong. No harsh lines, no need to blend out. I just swipe one side of the brush in the product and then under my cheekbone and I'm done.

Great for a quick contour!

I use with loose powders and pressed mineral foundation. Spectacular light to medium coverage. The bristles are extremely soft and dense. The large angled head makes for fast even application of product. Works well for bronzing and blush. This has replaced my more expensive traditional powder brush. Very easy to spot clean and wash. No shedding after washing several times. Due to size and density I would not recommend for contouring. Its much more suited to blending.

Great Powder Brush

I love the original kabuki, so I had a hunch that I would like this as well. As the other reviews said, the same is misleading, but I was looking for a new bronzer brush. It applies my bronzer so well and really fits around my forehead and hairline, so I like the angled design. Yesterday, I applied my blush too heavily and went back in with this to help blend it out. Problem solved! This, and the original kabuki, are brushes I could see myself buying multiples of to use for several different purchases.

Great fluffy brush for all-over bronze!

When I first ordered this brush I was just getting into the basics of contouring, so because the name of the brush had "countouring" in it I thought it would be a great addition to my new makeup regime... However, when it came and I saw how fluffy it was I was super confused how I was supposed to use it due to its bulkiness... I do admit I've never tried to contour with it, but I have used it to buff out a harsh contour, blend my blush and bronzer and also apply my setting powder. It is a great multi tasker which I have used everyday since I received it, I just haven't used it for its intentive name (contouring). I very much enjoy the softness of the brush, it has perfect density for what I have used it for, and it's super easy to clean/very minimal (now that I think of it really zero) shedding... The name of the brush is misleading, but it is a great brush nonetheless.

Different expectations

I bought this recently and it's pretty great. but i dont have one of those brush cleaning thingy so a lot of powder gets "stuck" in my brush. the handle is short so, i tend to grad the end of the bristles near the handle, so the shape gets messed up. The bristles are very soft, and this was pretty cheapish.

it's nice!

You can't really do anything with this brush. You def can't contour. I feel like this is a too small body brush you would use if you wanted to powder your body or something. Nothing special and not worth the price.

You could do without it

I love elf brushes. I get every new one that comes out. LOVE LOVE the blending brush, contour brush, but this kabuki brush is not much different then the regular kabuki. its so soft, that it isnt really usable to contour. It is a powder brush for me. But elf products, are awesome. Unfortunately,,they keep discontinuing alot of my most favorite products.....sigh!
