It wasn't the color that I ordered but is still a prett color. I ordered Flurtious. But got Precious. I like the color that I  got, too.

This is a great lipstick for the price. The colors are awesome and it is very moisturizing. BUT the colors they show aren't exactly the same as the pictures. They are a little bit lighter than the colors they show. I put an example in pictures here. All and all they are a great budget lipstick. *Also, in the picture gypsy is sparkly. It is NOT sparkly. That is the sun shining off of it.*

I was so happy to discover ELF a few months ago. I ordered two colors, fearless and seductive, and they are INCREDIBLE! The pigmentation is beyond amazing, they smell amazing (like fruit), and they go on super smooth. No that it's the holiday season, I wear fearless quite a bit but only a few dabs. I then smooth it all over for a subtle holiday look! ELF impresses me yet again! I want to order classy and nostagic next! Buy this product!

I had to watch a couple of videos on youtube before purchasing elf's lipsticks (to know if the color is true). I got this in nostalgic and I absolutely love it. I'm always worried of getting a color that's too obvious and too unnatural on my lips (too bright, too pink, too dark). I like neutral and natural looking colors - I don't want it to be super obvious that I'm wearing lipstick. This color is beautiful: it's light and the color isn't so bright. You can build it up. One coat, and it's slightly paler. Two to three coats and it's fairly nuder. It's moisturizing for the first couple of minutes but more than 30-45 minutes, I find that it loses its moist, but applying a clear lip balm over it will revive the hydration. I gave it a 4 stars because it does wear off easily. My recommendation: try to find videos on youtube or pictures of the lipstick product you actually like before buying. For nostalgic, the picture of the website showed it a bit coral/pink/shimmer. But once on my lips, it has a slight purple tint to it.

Nostalgic lover

I got seductive a few months ago and I barely wear it. It's nice and creamy, and goes on smoothly. The downside is that it has that cheap "makeup" smell to it and whenever I put the cap on the lipstick, it's tilted so it always scrapes some of it off and the lipstick gets all over my makeup bag.. It wears off easily and has a very glossy finish to it which I don't like. It's not true to color. In person it looks way more pink then it does online. It provides great coverage and has a nice texture too.

I bought gypsy because I thought it would contrast nicely with my dark skin tone, and I was right. This dark magenta has a blue undertone, which makes my teeth really white. I only give it 4 stars because it is thin, and 3 coats are needed. Also, the package is hard to twist. But overall, I think this lipstick is great, especially used with a dark brown lip liner. THANKS ELF :D

beautiful color

I love lip colors, and on the website, this looked like it would be on the purple side . . . which I LOVE. And for $1, who can say no?

So it arrived, and the color is certainly not purple. It's a cool-toned pink. Pretty enough, and wearable, particularly for someone like me who likes bright colors. If you don't like bold colors, this is not going to be your jam.

But Lord God Almighty, this stuff is SOFT! I twisted up just like normal, and it busted as soon as I touched it to my lips. Now it's all over the tube and inside the cap . . . just not pretty. This stuff is a MESS!

But I can still use it, and it's ok for longevity, and the color is fun, so I'll hang on to it until it totally melts away and becomes a puddle.

Not sure what's "essential" about it.

This is a great product, especially at the price. However, if I were to purchase again, it would be just to see if a certain lip color suited me. It's very pigmented and gives my lips a very plump, moisturized feel - but it transfers. It never sets. I can stay for an hour and if I brush my lips on something, it WILL transfer. The only shade I had a problem with was Nostalgic, which looked to be such a gorgeous nude but in actuality was chalky and wouldn't get onto my lips. I'd never go outside wearing this lipstick, but if I was curious what colors looked nice on me, it wouldn't hurt to purchase more (I've purchased 4 as of)

Beautiful, but transfers

I ordered this thinking it would match a lipstick color I had on an elf beauty book. Not only did it not match the color but it went on really weird.  It felt smooth and creamy but the coverage was spotty and looked like I had particles of chalk on my lips. I usually love elf's products but this one was a bust.

Not what I expected

The colors are beautiful so i was super excited about them..but they are very drying and cumbersome to apply. if you have dry skin/ lips I would recommend buying Elf's moisurinizing lipstick instead. The lipstick also had a weird white coating on them
