this tv has surprisingly good picture for a none name brand and cheap price other reviews I read before purchase said screws that are provided for attaching the stand stripped easily and that turned out to be true so use your own screws if you have or go buy some the ones provided strip before you finish getting them in and then stand is loose and you'll have to start over anyways so just start with your own screws from the start but beside the cheap screws no other complaints great tv

great price for 50" tv

Purchased for $398 on boxing day 2014. Great tv for the money. Picture is fine, sound is mediocre. Standard VESA pattern for wall mount and relatively light. No CEC HDMI but not surprising for an economy tv. limited function with Bell motorolla mxv4 universal remote, requires it's own proprietary remote to switch sources. All in all, you get what you pay for. Paired with chromecast for $30 makes it a very cheap 50 inch smart tv.

great value

This is a great deal for the price. The picture is good and has enough inputs for my needs. The hook up of the Wii was a little difficult as the manual never explained that the composite video goes in the closest CYMK input. The sound quality is pretty bad. But, if you are going into a sound system or have a sound bar, then it is ok.

Great picture, bad sound

I bought the TV during boxing week and so saved even more. Had issues with delivery but once it arrived it was in perfect condition, easy to set up and picture is great. Sound is not great but better if you can hook up to separate speakers. Overall very happy with it so far.

Really a belle image and a great price!

Like some of the other reviews said, you could see 4 x's on light coloured backgrounds. The picture was decent but because of the x's I returned it. I was really disappointed because the price was right.

As much as I love the tv, I just noticed yesterday that the price is now $100 less than what I paid a few weeks ago. I feel that there should be some kind of a price match or guarantee.

Bought this boxing day and set it up, only for a massive ripple on top centre/right, took it back, now this one has a 4x4 cross pattern (likely from a drill happy assember, there's a few out there like mine) screws for the base are cheap, you'll have better luck buying better ones the same size. That being said, it has the potential to be an AWESOME TV, sound is great, picture was great except for the obvious. I'm going to try one more time, If third time isn't the charm, I'll have to get my money back and buy a different brand.

4x4 cross but it has potential

Saw it on sale after Christmas was looking to buy a TV but price was so good couldn't say NO. Set up in minutes amazing picture quality shocked me sound was better then some other brand name TV 's some we have to turn up to almost max to hear,but this one 11 is the same sound level. Well done sure it has a bump in the back that some others don't have but a inch I can live with verses $.

pros: good picture, little to no ghosting, bright and quick refresh.

cons: im halfway expecting it to have a short lifespan but the warranty covers 3 years

uses: i use it for netflix and gaming, so it does need to perform but im not pushing for superb quality. for this end, i love this tv.
