Dye-free. Effective relief of cough and congestion due to colds and minor bronchial irritations. Sucrose Free. Recommended use: For the effective (temporary) relief of cough and congestion. Recommended dose - Adults and Children 12 years and older: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Take 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 mL) every 2-3 hours as required. Do not exceed 5 doses daily. If preferred, mix with equal parts of honey. This product is sealed for your protection. Store at room temperature (15-30 ºC). Keep and consult carton for important information. MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS Each Teaspoon (5mL) contains: Potassium Bicarbonate: 267 mg Ammonium Carbonate: 153 mg Menthol: 22 mg Camphor: 2.2 mg NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS (ALPHABETICAL): Balsam Fir Needle Essential Oil (Canada Balsam Oil), Butylparaben, Capsicum Annuum Extract, Carrageenan, Filtered Water, Glycerin, Pine Oil Pumilio, Propylparaben, Sodium Cyclamate. CAUTIONS: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Consult a physician if underlying condition requires continued use for more than 7 days, if cough worsens, persists for more than a week or is accompanied by too much phlegm (mucus), a high fever, rash or persistent headache. Individuals with heart, lung, kidney or liver disease; asthma; the elderly, pregnant women and nursing mothers; or persons on other medication should take only after consultation with a physician. Children under 12 years old: consult a physician before use. In the case of accidental overdose, contact a physician or Poison Control Centre immediately, even if there are no symptoms.

I found this EQUATE cough & congestion mixture to be a good choice at the store when deciding which to buy. It offered all the benefits of other brands at a much better value. It does not taste horrible and is easy to take. I found it to work well for me.

I previously was dedicated to Buckleys but I can't stand the side effects of their active ingredient of feeling foggy and confused. I'd rather have the natural ingredients and not feel like going crazy!

Tastes awful but no side effects

This product works really well. Much cheaper than buying the brand name. Tastes bad but works. Always keep a bottle on hand for the winter months.

This cough syrup in great for the price and very similar to other brands but I find this one very effective when a cough or congestion occurs

Great for sough and congestion

This syrup works as well as Buckley's, but it is a much better price. It doesn't taste very good, but it works. I added a little sugar, which made it taste better.

Works Well On Coughs

Very efficient product with low cost, not expensive for the quality. Working well for curing cough. Natural without added coloring.

Good Product

The herbal formulations provide soothing relief to congestions. My family prefer this than the other medicated cough syrup.

Soothing Relief

Bought this one to try out since it says herbal on it. Trying to be more careful with what I'm using when I'm sick because of other medications. It worked well for me but I was not super sick so I can't really say how well it works for anyone who is super sick. It did help my cough and congestion because I started using it as soon as I started getting sick. I would use it again next time for sure.

Cough and congestion medicine

The cough sirop worked perfectly the first time, my nose was less runny and I coughed a lot less. The second time I took it, my throat immidiatley started to burn and I started to cough a lot more.

We didn't find that it helped any of the symptoms and it tasted worse than other cough syrups that did help. The cost saving in this instance wasn't worth it.

Taste is  nausiating  - It is so bad I had to throw it away.
