Carseat was exactly as described. Material is very easy to clean and my toddler loves her seat more now than ever. Very plush cushioning and cup holders are so convenient. I thought it looked rather bulky when I took it out of the box but it fit in car perfectly without taking up more space than necessary. I love how the headrest is adjustable so she can grow with it. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!

The seat is designed to protect children with a 5-point harness.  the child to remain restrained for longer. The pads are made of a soft, washable material. And comfortable, cleaning is quick and easy since the pads are removable and washable.
The seat weight is approximately 13 pounds relative to the occupant's weight. Weight limits are 5 to 40 pounds for rear-facing seats and 22 to 65 pounds for forward-facing seats.

Stratos Evenflo Car seat!!!

I've been using the Evenflo Stratos Convertible Car Seat for several months now, and overall I'm really happy with it. The installation process was simple, and it feels very sturdy once secured. The seat fabric is soft and easy to clean, which is a big plus for me. My little one seems very comfortable and never complains during long rides. I also like that it grows with the child — the adjustable headrest and recline options make it super convenient. It's not too bulky, so it fits well even in smaller cars. For the price, it feels like a great mix of comfort, safety, and value.

Features not labeled in product description but are good to know: 

Seat Depth/Width: See Pictures

Buckle Storage: (See Picture) Feature used to keep buckle/straps away/open when placing child in seat. I like this feature! 

Not a Base/Carrier type of car seat. (My previous carrier/seat could separate from base fairly easily. More suitable for an infant.)  Now I just say get out and walk yourself!

Rear-Facing vs Front-Facing: The seat comes with this swinging portion attached to the bottom of the seat that is very easy to switch for rear-facing or front-facing. It is not a separate piece that needs to be removed and stored it is used for both situations. (You won't be like... "Where did I put that one piece I needed to make it front-facing?") 

Cup holder: (See Picture) Grey portion is removable. Great for cleaning.(Issue: not sure why they put holes in this insert, any liquid spills inside the insert just come out the holes and right on to the seat/leg area.)

Headrest: (See Pictures)Adjusts upward for when your child grows. Exposes more strap adjustments for taller kids and seems pretty substantial(in terms of safety)! (Issue: Headrest(black portion in my picture) and Backrest(grey portion) are not on same plane(headrest is slightly raised) causing my child's head to push just a bit forward. It mostly affects when she starts falling asleep and starts to slouch a bit. It makes it almost impossible for her to fall asleep without her chin resting on her chest.  Maybe a small cushion on her back would help this issue, but not sure if that affects the safety/operation of the seat.)  The issue is not a deal breaker as I feel the cushion and the build of the headrest is most important for safety reasons.  My issue rest more on comfort which is secondary to her safety.  

So far this has been a great car seat for the short time we have had it and I would recommend it.

I love the modern look of this car seat, it is not bulky at all. Has a lot of cushion so very comfy for long rides. It has removable cup holders in case baby needs a little more room. I have a honda pilot and it fits great rear facing,when I'm driving my husband is  6'4 so when he's driving baby might come up a little more but still looks comfortable to me. The seat is a little tricky to maneuver if you need to adjust the tether I couldn't figure out how to adjust it, and the cover came off when I was trying to lift it. Purchased 2 one for each car.

This car seat is good for its price. It keeps your infant snug and it fits properly. You can easily adjust the straps to fit your newborn. It's also lite weight and sturdy to carry.

It's important to know that if you need a car seat

My initial impression when I opened the box was that the Evenflo Stratos was a very light carseat. It is way lighter than my Graco 4 Ever. My goal was to figure everything out without referencing the manual. This was easy enough since it came all together. I just snapped in the cup holders and it was ready to install. I like the latch guides that come with the carseat, I could tell instantly what they were for and thought it would be very handy for installation. I also really liked the latch releases. Evenflo used "pulleys" vs my Graco which uses button to release the latch from the seat anchor. Buttons seem counter productive to me since you have to push something to pull it off. I kinda always struggle when I have to do that. 
That was when I got stuck. I could not figure out how to recline the carseat. My first impression was maybe its not supposed to recline. So I had to reference the users manual, initial goal failed. I found the recline mechanism and all I could think was it was kinda archaic. Its just a plastic piece that pops out and unfolds. There are 3 positions for this carseat. Upright, semi reclined and fully reclined. In fully reclined, which is where I would presume you use a newborn or little baby, the Evenflo was slightly less reclined than my Graco. But the Graco came with more recline options, 6 to be precise. I don't know if you need the extra 3, I honestly only use 1 for my toddler. I also noticed when I reclined it, the carseat would not stay upright on its own anymore and kept falling back. I am not sure how I feel about this, but I can say my Graco stood on its own while reclined in every position, but the Evenflo is much lighter and I don't think it matters once buckled into the car. I do switch my carseat into friends cars once in a while if we carpool, and thats the only time the weight affects me. 
The Graco also stretched taller than the Evenflo. This leads me to believe it can be used for a wider range of toddlers and ages since it can accompany taller toddlers more safely. I compared the padding on the carseats, and while at first I thought the Evenflo had less padding, they actually seemed to be very comparable or the Evenflo being slightly plusher on the head part. The Evenflo did lack padding around the body though. 
Overall I liked the Evenflo. Being half the price of the Graco is a big plus. If your child gets too tall for it, you can buy a booster seat for the saved $150. ;)

EvenFlo Stratos vs my Graco 4 Ever

We own several Evenflo car seats and have been satisfied with every seat we have purchased except this one. I decided to purchase the Stratos after reading so many good reviews. We needed a seat for our nanny that was light weight for her and affordable. This seemed to fit the bill. We recently borrowed the Stratos seat from her since we were traveling by plane and didn't want to lug our 25 lb convertible seat through the airport. Installing forward facing on the plane was not an issue but rear facing in the rental car was a total nightmare. The flip out recline piece is chincy and I thought that it would break off at any moment. It didn't matter what position the recline was in, it was never level and prevented the seat from being secure. We tried installing it in three different vehicles, using a blanket to try and get it level and it was never even remotely secure in any of them. After literally spending HOURS trying to install this seat rear facing we turned it forward facing just so that we could go to the fire station for help. We really did not have any other options since the car rental company did not have any rear facing car seats available for rent either. At the fire station, they were dumbfounded as well as to why this seat was not installing securely. We all read the manual several times over and the seat was still loose. We ultimately had to drive with it as-is because we exhausted all our options. To say that I was a nervous wreck driving with my 15 month old in this seat is an understatement. I'm extremely disappointed with the Evenflo Stratos.
