I was looking for a pellet grill under $500 and there are a lot to choose from. I was originally looking at Pit Boss and Z Grills due to their affordability and excellent reviews. When I started looking at Walmart's new line of Pellet grills, I was shocked at how cheap they were and how many features they included. To get a PID controller, bluetooth, and touchscreen display under $500 is amazing. I have not yet cooked anything on it, but just the unboxing and assembly experience tells me that they put a lot of passion into this product. The instructions were super clear and easy. Everything was over-protected in the packaging which is great to see. I now have a mountain hill of cardboard that I have to dispose of! I got the Expert Grill cover that is designed for this grill and it is also very well made for the price. I couldn't be happier, however, if anything changes later I will update this review.

Great Grill!

Absolutely blown away. For the price it performs against the big names and comes loaded with features. Looks amazing. Honestly I couldn't be happier. Smoke production is top notch. Cooks evenly. Interface is easy to understand. Would highly recommend

More than I expected

First time pellet grill user. Easy assembly, just make sure you have someone handy to help you with lifting. Holds temperature steady. Doesn't produce a lot of smoke on the outside of grill, but you can definitely taste it. Bluetooth app does need a bigger range, but works well when you are closer. Highly recommend this grill. It's one of three grills I have. Charcoal, propane and now this, still use all 3. All the same brand. Google some awesome recipes.

Awesome smoker

A pellet grill with >500 sq. in. area AND bluetooth control for under $300? Yes please! I tried to purchase another grill through WalMart.com and the order was cancelled due to not being in stock. I did another search using "Pickup Today" option and this one popped up. I've only had it for a week, but already smoked some pork ribs and chicken - both meals turned out great! The bluetooth app could definitely be improved to add more "smart" features like programming meat temp(s) or cook times, but just having controls at hand without having to go out to the grill is an awesome feature.

Incredible value and features!

I also own a smaller Traeger, and this one hands down beats it on temperature accuracy and control not to mention price. The searing function is an added plus. I was able to assemble it with little effort other than it's weight.

cook's a little hotter on left side. would have been great to get a full set of racks, they only include the bottom and enough for 1 full rack or 2 half racks up top. a second probe would be nice too, I'm sure they didn't save a lot of money by not including it. 

Other than being forced to pay for the grates that they show on the box in the picture at least, I am very happy with it, cooks great and gives a nice smokey flavor. just had the best bbq pork steak ever last night. 

I also would have been charged a $100 some more to walk out the door with it myself at the cash register Vs online pick up for some reason. They wouldn't match the price, so make sure to check online to see if it's on sale. For the same price as a cheaper model you can't go wrong. I try to find something every other night to make very pleased hoping for many years of flavorful smoked food

I had previously owned a Pit Boss brand electric smoker. It was flawed, wouldn't regulate temperature, required constant monitoring, and caught on fire twice. Lasted less than a year. I recently purchased this and very much more pleased. Assembly was a breeze, my 9 year old son and I put it together in about 30 minutes. Next day I smoked chicken leg quarters on it. Came out awesome. I have not tried the app yet. I plan on smoking T-bone steaks on Friday.
1. Temp did fluctuate in the range of 25-30 degrees. I just kept a watch but it took little effort.
2. I had to smoke the chicken longer because of the temp fluctuation but it wasn't really an issue.
I'd say at the price point it's very well worth it

App doesn't work the greatest  seems to be pretty solid grill/smoker I'm sure it will do great just thought the app would work better

Pretty good for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the grill for one month. Kept out of weather. Put a Boston butt on it to smoke over night and it kept giving error and shut off. When it would run it was running about 100 degrees or more hotter than what I had it set to. Poor quality. Waste of money
