Farberware 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker is rated 1.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely happy with this one! I purchased this about two months ago, and I think the only issue I'd complain about is how slow it brews. If you can give yourself the extra patience, you'll be more than happy with this coffee maker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Half a year and gone to the undertaker Had this coffee maker for 6 months, worked great, I would wake up at 4:30am for work and it would be brewing... this cold winter evening after dinner time to make coffee and the grim reaper beat me to it. The light goes on but no drip... a waste of money...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor design I have had this coffee maker for 6 months now and can say it a piece of junk. The poor design puts the water for the drip in one location only so the grounds float on top of the water making weak, watery coffee. I've tried different things, including tilting the coffee maker to try and get the water to soak the ground coffee evenly, I even have resorted to leaving the pot out and allowing a couple of cups of water to flow into the basket, then stirring it with a spoon. This works, but I didn't buy a coffee maker for the express purpose of having to babysit the thing. This thing is junk, don't buy one!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Design Put up with this turkey for the last 6 months and have finally had enough- as a few reviews have commented, the coffee often comes out weak and I think it has to with the 'drip head'- the way it is designed, the water seems to mostly go around the perimeter of the coffee in the filter rather over top of it, so sometimes the coffee grounds in the middle are still dry. And there are times when the water seems to be going outside the filter (!) and eventually landing on the warming plate- whenever I hear a sizzling sound, I know that's what has happened and have blackened a few sponges cleaning up the mess. The basket that holds the filter is too deep, which may be why the water ends up outside the filter. The coffee maker is still under warranty, of course, but the terms are I will be offered the same model as replacement-forget that! Definitely a bad coffee maker!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE coffee maker I had this for a total of 3 weeks and it was a disaster. One problem is that the pot drips all over the place when you try to pour. Much worse than that- it barely makes coffee! I was using more than double the usual amount of coffee and it was still weak, even if I used the bold setting. I read a review that if the coffee in the pot is less than 190 F after brewing the coffee grounds will not soak up the water and you'll get very weak coffee. I was so fed up I finally used my cooking thermometer to test that out and the coffee was 120 F. As well, when I went to clean the coffee grounds from the basket one side wasn't even wet!! This is a terrible coffee maker. Don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not built to last I bought this five months ago. At first it did exactly what I needed it to, and I had no complaints. I followed the post-operation cleaning instructions after each use and basically treated it as nicely as it treated me. Then this morning my toddler woke me at 5AM so of course I went running to the coffeemaker, and the blasted thing was just dead. The literal embodiment of "lights are on but nobody's home." The light comes on, but nothing else does. I tried the troubleshooting steps in the manual but they are essentially useless (their suggestions for when it's not working are turning it on, making sure it's plugged in, and making sure the outlet is energized. I mean, seriously). So this thing isn't even half a year home and it's dead and I have a two year old and no coffee. If you want something you can count on, you want a product that isn't this one.
