I used the generator for the first time yesterday, the motor starts just after the second pulling of the rope, it run's quietly and gave me all the power that I needed at this time, outdoor using: twenty gallons air compressor, skill saw and power drills. I paid attention for the break in period and I didn't overload the unit. For now, I am very satisfied of this generator, the next step is to install it for an emergency power unit fo two pumps: well pump and sump pump.

FIRMAN Power Equipment

This is my second Firman generator.  They are dependable, straight forward maintenance, and great value.  This generator is mostly used at a recreational lot.  It powers my travel trailer, electric chainsaw, electric hedge trimmer, and electric weed eater.

I am just a regular home owner, and won't be using it everyday, but I like how this supplier gives you everything you could possibly need, to assemble this unit, right down to the oil and the funnel to put the oil in. I just got the unit and haven't; had much time to use it, but I am very impressed with this supplier.

Very Impressed with this supplier

We have been using a Firman since we moved to off gridding, and we wouldn't use any other brands. W did try others but they would only last for a few weeks, at most. The Firman will last months, on a 24hour 7 days a week. Also great on fuel, for a family of 7 people.

Go Firman

Great generator, bought this to replace a 30yr old open frame generator of similar size that had failed. Added oil and gas and fired right up sounds good, slightly quieter than the generator it replaced. Huge 5 gallon tank is nice. I use it for running larger tools(rotary hammer, cement mixer and wood splitter) at my off grid cabin. So far really pleased. I will shortly change the oil to synthetic. Real test will be in the cold -25C where I have in the past had issues starting generators.

Great Deal

Great generator at a great price. I bought it on sale for emergency power outages.  I left it still boxed in the garage until my friend lost his power and his sump started overflowing. I had it unboxed, assembled, filled with the supplied oil and running in the 20 minutes it took him to get over. It saved his basement . It ran like a top, no problems.

This is my second Firman generator, I also have a 10,000 watt. I was so impressed with the first one that I decided to also get a smaller one. Love Firman.

I use it to power my cabin ,had a bad carburetor from the start,got good service and had it replaced on warranty it took a long time to ship.i had to jury rig the float for two months.I would have to buy another gen if I had to wait that long for parts,if I wasn't mechanical minded.worked flawlessly until governor spring broke,had to take one off another gen to get by ,three months latter and still waiting for my warranty spring phone number doesn't work got through by email after weeks of phoning every day . might be coved related.

Would buy again I got one for parts.

First right from the start I've used Firman Gens for a few years for out parties requiring continuous power for some equipment most of the time rented units. So I finally decided to purchase one for for my outdoor use and my diy projects supplying power in areas it's not available. The generators fairly quiet and you can tell the company cares about the quality of the product.

Can't handle the load it's rated for, also when I received it ...no wheels or handle like advertised...buyer beware if this is how Walmart is selling now!
