My oldest son is now 5 and we got this for him I believe when he was about 2. We never used the "Rocker" feature but have loved everything else about this trike. The adult handle was awesome when my son was just learning how to pedal and also meant the trike was a good alternative to the stroller at times. (I'm 5'3' and never had to stoop to push the trike) At 5 years (45 inches tall), he's about to outgrow this trike but still likes to take it out sometimes. His 11 month old brother is just starting to ride this with the foot rest down, so I'm sure this will continue to get lots of use. The plastic has faded in the 3 years we've had it and the stickers are mostly gone but otherwise this is in decent shape. I'm sure if we had stored it in the garage instead of on a patio through a couple of summers, this would still look almost new.

My twin boys got this for easter when they were 9mo old, they used it as a rocker. They are now 2 1/2 & still play with this DAILY! It has been their fave toy for over a year! Before they got the hang of the pedals when they pushed with their feet the footrest would rub their legs but it was an easy fix. We just removed the footrest all together. We have to take these bikes every where with us!! They are a must have!

My son received this for his first birthday, we used it as the rocker then converted it to the trike with the push bar. He just turned three years old and he loves his trike. He is still learning how to pedal and steer at the same time so the push bar on the trike helps guide him. The product is very sturdy and is really easy to put together and convert it. I would definitely recommend buying this for a gift or for your own child! We love this trike and have gotten so much use out of it and will continue to use it for the next few years!

Awesome toy

We bought this for our twin grandchildren's second Christmas. They loved it right away and rock it crazily but it still is stable and safe. I look forward to seeing them ride the bike once the rockers come off. We bought them another tide on toy, but they both love their Rock and Roll trike. Worth the money and a great buy.

Rockin babies

In the past 9 years i have owned 4 of these bikes and i am proud to say i still own four of these bikes. My 4 children have put these bikes to the test. I would recomend these to any family. These bikes are so much fun and so duriable my kids have taken these bikes over and under everything any everywhere. Today will be the first day i am trying to find replacement parts like wheels from being used so much over the years. My only complant would be that they are to difficult to find in the stores.

I was given the same product in pink 6 years ago for my daughter. She loved it and now my younger daughter is enjoying it. It will last forever. It's nice when they are the age you need to push. It was perfect when she was on her own with it and when I'm with my two year old on a walk and she wants to run with me I turn it around and lift the back up and it drags well behind us. It's nice to know if she takes off I can grab the back and slow her down.

ride on

I bought this for my 1 1/2 year old and she really likes riding on it. It has a foot rest and adjustable seat which is nice for her because she is tiny. The only difficult thing about it is that your toddler has to steer it when it is in the push position. She is learning left, right, and straight though, so it's getting easier and she loves riding her "bike".

Fun product

I bought this looking at all the positive reviews on the web and also not too pricey for a trike. Some trikes out there are so expensive and didn't find them to be too sturdy. And also since my son is already above, I didn't need a 4 stage trike. So after doing a lot of research I settled for this one.
But I must say I'm not very happy with the design.
1) The paddles are too far away from the seat even on the lowest setting.
2) The seat is too low.
3) The handles are ok for me but I'm only 5'2''. My husband about 5'9'' finds them ok but sometimes he has to bend a little. Overall that's not a problem.
4) The pin that locks the handle to the trike body is not great, sometimes it starts coming off.
5) The worst is the design of the footrest. We adjust the seat at the lowest setting, or closest to the paddles, which is comfortable for my son at this age. But then he's not able to balance his feet well and the footrest dangles so his feet keeps falling off. To balance it, we need to readjust the seat to the highest or mid setting and then he's comfortable. But whenever he wants to paddle, we have to readjust the seat. The seat is easy to adjust but still it's a pain to get him off and on the trike.

I believe some of the issues will go away with time as my toddler is more comfortable and is actually able to ride on his own. So it's okay. But I really like the design of the radio flyer trike that's selling for about $60 but only problem is it doesn't have the handles to push or else would have bought that.

Sturdy but poor design

I only bought the rock, roll n' ride trike XL because I had read that FP had fixed the short push bar for parents. I would strongly disagree. While I am a FP fan, a simple fix of adding an extension piece for converting from rocker to trike would solve the problem. I am 5'7" and have to be bent over in order to push the trike. The trike lacks some of the bells and whistles of the more expensive trikes, such as being able to turn the front wheel to steer, but I was willing to pass on those features for a brand I like and simplicity. Very disappointed that FP has yet to address the push bar problem.

not so much.....

I bought it a week ago for my son's first birthday, we built it up and it was an easy assembly, but it is not a good product. The bar is too low which makes it awkward to push, it doesn't have an override for keeping the front wheel in place if you're pushing and the wheels are made of plastic which is very noisy when walking outside. Will be returning it ASAP!
