I wish someone had told me it takes an adult to figure out all the steps to make it work. It was an early Christmas present for an 8 year old ( it took her father to figure it out even tho she has 2 older brothers. The other one was for a 4 1/2 year old. I will now keep it for a future birthday or Christmas gift when she is a little older.

I liked the product but after I bought this one it went on sale for $3.00 cheaper disappointing about that

My 8 year old granddaughter bought this with her "chore money" she earns while visiting our house, she got it on clearance, so that was a plus for her. But, she didn't tear into it as soon as we got home and asked me to do the research on it. I was glad to do it. I looked on the back of the package and there was a website that had a video that told you everything you needed to know about this product...such as...light effects it and steer clear of fans, try to do it where there is carpet or rugs so her "crashes" will be easier. But the thing that impressed me was, they said that she is tough and hard to break. They said a wing may come off on a hard landing, but showed you how to but it back on. They broke down how to charge her in the simplest terms. My granddaughter has been playing with it non stop for a week and the fairy is still like brand new. It's NOT hard, just do your homework. Tp the woman who said it was so hard to figure out, all you had to do was look on the back of the package and got to the website and you would have been good to go. YOU made it hard not the makers of Flutterbye.

Do Your Homework Parents!!!

I bought this toy for my daughter's 9th birthday. She still loves receiving toys but are very picky in terms of what she will like. We followed the instructions as to how we would charge the toy and it was easy. When she finally got the chance to
play with it, she really enjoyed it. At first, she have a hard time controlling the fairy but give it a couple of tries and she got the hang of it. The only setback is its
rechargeable by batteries and play only last for around 30 minutes and then need recharging again. But overall, when she got home from school she looks forward in playing her Flutterbye fairy. When we posted her video, got a call right away about this new found toy.

Great toy for girls

great product! my 4 year old loved it.

Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because It dies very quickly. I Have to charge it very often. After about 10-15mins of play time it dies.

But other that its great and flies surprisingly high.

Flutterbye Flying Fairy

My 3-year-old granddaughter was fascinated by this gift, and that pleased me. The negatives are: (1) batteries were not included, and (2) it takes the power unit up to 3 hours to be fully powered up the first time, per the info. She was so impatient to play with it, that we let it power up for only an hour, but that reduced the amount of time that the fairy would flutter. All in all, my granddaughter loves it, and it is a fascinating little gift, I should not have assumed that batteries would be included, but I really thought this was common practice now.

FASCINATING!

this is a funny items that will make the entire family smile. Uses way too many batteries as the charger takes up 6 AA. Avoid paying the retail price. I got lucky and got it for a black Friday price so that made it worth it

fun item but it is a battery hog

My daughter enjoyed the doll a lot. I was amazed. She was great at flying it. It lands really roughly. It lasted about a week. It's still a pretty doll to play with . Not sure if we can resurrect her to fly again. Cute while it worked. My young son was scared of it. She can still play with the doll itself, but of course, she lost interest.

Fluttered Out

I had high hopes for this toy. It takes forever to get a full charge, and then they can only play with it for about 5-10 minutes before it has to be charged again. My daughter didn't really mind waiting, but as many times as it falls, the thing broke by the second day of use and I can't take it back for a refund. I wouldn't suggest getting one unless you know how to fix them. As I said...A Lot of fun while it lasted!

Great fun for the short time it lasted. This is the second one my daughter recieved. She is not hard on her toys but it only last three days same as the first one. It falls hard on the ground and walls. So yes fun but doesn't last long.
