It was kind of intimidating at first being an old person who cannot read small print fonts even at 14pt but my children read for me then got interested now they are baking bread daily and trying new recipes. so it's children friendly with adult supervision.

Very nice bread machine. The price of bread machines have become more affordable since they first came out. I did a lot of research since I was concerned about buying a cheaply made one. I decided on the Frigidaire since it's a familiar brand. I am very pleased with my purchase. I bought it for my elderly in-laws. Very easy to use. They brag about having fresh bread with their breakfast. They are looking forward to trying the other recipes in the recipe book.

Easy to use and worth the money!

After the sealing gasket on our 20ish year old bread maker broke down (no replacement part available), we reluctantly replaced with one from this decade. Without spending a ton of money towards gadget, we went with this model...and knowing the return would be painless, it was worth the risk. 
First, upon unboxing, read the book to know how to get the pan in and out, then throw the book away. Truly, it's so poorly translated, it could be funny. 
I kept our prior book and it transfers just fine. There are many more options with this model; we've fussed with them and all in all, everything has worked out just fine. I'm speaking of “raw dough” and “leavened dough”...uhhhh, the old one had a “dough” cycle. Whatever, the bread was delicious. 
We're keeping the machine. And if anything's a wreck, we'll laugh and eat it or throw it away.

Throw the book away

I purchased this bread machine for my mom in law.  She attempted to make bread several times %26 each time the bread ended up being tossed out.  The instructions were not easy even for me to read.  The recipes in the booklet were difficult to read, as some of it was in the European measurements %26 half were in the standard measurements. The all the buttons were flashing at one point. She didn't know what was going on. I brought the machine home to try it for myself.  I watched each step.  Once it got to the baking step, all the lights were blinking on %26 off.  When that happened I called the support %23.  
I spoke with a person from Curtis Industries (phone %23 was in the booklet). He said I needed to speak with a person from Frigidaire. So I was speaking with someone there.  They said I was to speak with Curtis Industries %26 put me back with them.  They said they would have someone call me back upwards to 2 days.  Good grief.  I told my mom in law not to worry about the lights blinking; the company doesn't seem to care.  I said let's pretend the lights are happy %26 dancing because it made it to the bake cycle.  The bread finished %26 was perfect when I used my own recipe from another manufacturer bread machine.

Beware using the recipes in the booklet provided

We got the red one and it looks nice. It works well and makes good bread. The negatives would be that the recipes in the manual are in metric measurements.  This is our third or fourth breadmaker and the failure is usually in the shaft for the kneeling paddle.  This has the same design as our last one that failed and repair is difficult.  It seems that a quality product would have a way to repair the typical failure point rather than discarding the unit.

Attractive appearance and works well

This machine works great, bread was well-baked and nicely browned. However, the user manual is practically useless, written in poor English and the recipes in it are not well-written at all.

Works Great

This is an Ok bread machine, nothing to get really excited about. The instruction manual is almost useless as it conveys so little information and written by non-English speaker that did not appear to try and make it readable. You do not learn anything about the timing of cycles. The bread barrel is 15% smaller than any of my previous machines so I had to decrease my recipes by 15% by volume. It also bakes the backside of the loaf more than the frontside, but not enough to be a deal killer. As with most bread machines you need to scrape out the corners and sides for unmixed dough that would show as patches of hard flour if not done. I do like the simple controls and the flexibility. The bake cycle defaults to 10 minutes, I usually need 60 minutes  and it does not allow crust darkness adjustment within the bake function. I cook about 3 loaves of bread, wheat and Gluten free, each week, so I use it a lot. It is noisier than any of my previous bread machines. So far I have made about 20 loaves and it is still working. I hope it lasts a good long time.

This is an Ok bread machine, nothing to get really

The instructions are WRONG..  Who ever wrote them knows nothing about how to describe something.  First thing you are to do is open your bread maker and turn the tub with a little force clockwise.  Well let me tell you that is wrong.  You turn counter clockwise and pray you don't kill yourself when the tub comes flying out.  Three of the timer functions are way off.  If you want to just kneed bread dough and let it rise it will kneed and bake in 90 minutes with no rest time.  I have to say I really don't like it and look for another option at this point.

It could be a great thing but I have my doubts

The machine works. Which is great and what you want. However, the problem is the Instruction booklet that also includes recipes, is not written by someone with English has their first language. It is absolutely the worst. Completely useless. Why can't we buy products in the USA?
