Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter loves him My 11 year old daughter loves Pax the Poopin Pup! I received this Pup from the Spark reviewer program for an honest review of it. My daughter hasn't gotten tired of playing with him since I gave him to her 3 days ago. She has been carrying or walking him around the house everywhere she goes. The 'pup' is made of very soft 'fur'...my daughter says to make sure I mention "he is adorable!". The pup comes with 9 pieces of plastic dog food shaped treats that come out of him at the other end as his "poop"- which seems gross in concept having to re-feed him his own poop as a treat/food but my daughter thinks this is hilarious as the cycle of food goes, and rotates the poop so it isn't reused as food immediately. When she gives him a treat- he makes chewing sounds, gulping sounds...he will also bark and whine for more! This toy pup is really funny- making us grown ups laugh as well especially with his passing gas sounds lol He also seems to 'say' I love you in doggie language and 'oh no' after he passes gas with various farting noises lol. My only complaint is that once you attach the plastic 'leash' to the pup it can not be taken back out unless you break it off. My daughter wants to be able to take the pup to bed with her or just carry it around but the 22" long leash makes that very awkward. Her only complaint is that the instructions say to brush the pup or wipe with a cloth if he gets dirty...she just wished he came with a little brush of his own to use. Overall, a fun toy that also teaches kids the cycle of eating & pooping Lol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from poop'n and farting pup toy My four year old was entertained for hours with this pooopin farttin dog. She loved the gross sounds that it made and loved feeding it the little pellets and making it go poo poo afterward. The basic concept is simple. It eats the pellets and then you retract the leash, forcing it to crouch on its hind legs and expel the "food". It makes a variety of different farrt sounds, whines, barks, and growls to keep it interesting each time it pooops. My girl thought this was hilarious. It comes with a leash that can be shortened to a lower height for table-top play. The leash is very stiff, not like a real leash, so that you can use it to force the dog backward to pooop. The dog doesn't walk either. It just rolls like some futuristic hover dog. My daughter doesn't seem to mind this though, she just loved the pooopin. The only thing my daughter had trouble with occasionally was getting the pellet completely into its mouth. It has to be forced down a little past the trigger mechanism in its throat. It's not hard to do, but there was an initial learning curve. She's using it like a pro now. It comes with 9 pieces that look like dog food. They're very small so make sure if you have younger siblings they don't get a hold of the pieces. My daughter likes to play even without the food pieces and just listen to the beautiful variety of farts and whines. Great simple toy. Anything that can keep my 4 year old's attention for an entire afternoon with minimal supervision and assistance is a great find. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Three Year Old's 'Real' Pet We bought our five year old daughter a FurReal pet, for her birthday. She loved it, so we were excited to receive this one free, to try, and give to our three year old. When she opened the box, she was so excited. It requires two AAA batteries (included, score!) My daughter was excited to name her puppy, which she named Olive. The dog is super cute and makes all sorts of different noises. When he eats, he sometimes burps or makes other noises. The pup comes with 9 little plastic dog treats, and then you feed them to the puppy. Use the leash and take the puppy for a walk and he will poop and make funny sounds, when he poops. My daughter is always laughing and I think he is very cute, too. The leash comes off, which is very nice. We took the puppy outside, to walk, and it didn't seem to walk too well, on the cement. It's also pretty small, so I would recommend this being an indoor toy. The pellets are also very small and we have already lost several, in the carpet. But, even if they all get lost, the dog is cute, by itself. The only downfall, now? My daughters fighting over Olive. :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product I got this for my niece and it seems to be a winner. I would say it makes a great gift for kids 4 and older, simply because of the small pieces of food. The puppy makes cute puppy noises and poops without making a mess. The down side to this toy is the feed pellets that the pup poops out are very small and are likely to get lost and I haven’t found anywhere that sells replacements. The dog its self is very soft but the plastic leash is difficult to detach from the dog. Once my niece worked out how to feed, walk and get the pup to poop it has been a hit and she has played with it every day. Because the dog doesn’t actually walk it moves by wheels underneath it works best on flat surfaces. It does work on carpet as long as the pile is not thick. Over all I was very happy with this toy . Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed I was exited to get this toy for my daughter as this is the closest thing to getting a "puppy". Looking at the package I thought it was very cute and light in weight. The package indicated the use of batteries so I immediately got some; I put the batteries in and was very disappointed this dog doesn't have any movement of his own!! and that would have made it feel "real" the only thing it does is a very feign bark and chewing sound. It supposed to eat and poop but that's no fun at all as you almost have to force feed the dog because the food is so tiny. It has a wheel in the middle of the front legs to pull the dog but it is not very useful especially on the carpet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
