I've used Gillette razors in the past, but went in search of a more reasonably priced product. After using both Dollar Shave Club and Harry's, I went back to Gillette. There's really no comparison. The weight and quality of the razor itself and the closeness of the shave is excellent. But one aspect that is sometimes missed within the industry is how effeciently the blades rinse free from hair and lotion. This razor gets very high marks from me in this area. I ended up spending quite a bit more time with the other razors trying to get clean blades.

This is a quality product. Definitely worth a couple extra bucks over the inferior competitors models.

I've use these blades for years and I love them. I tried other brands and like to switch and try others but I always end up coming back because I haven't found a blade that works better for my sensitive skin. Highly recommend for those with sensitive skin.

My Favorite Blades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Gillette Fusion ProShield razor is really great razor along with the Gillette Fusion ProGlide sensitive gel which is good for my skin. The razor glide smooth against my skin the flex ball technology curves to the contours on my neck and jaw. This is were I have the most trouble with my razors but this razor did better then the rest. The ProShield lubricates the skin and blades very well and it doesn't leave any stubble or nicks. I really enjoy using this razor over using my other razors. Gillette has outdone itself. This my first week of using the flex ball technology and I happy to say that I will continue to use this razor.

I purchased the new Gillette Fusion 5 "Proshield" razors for my Gillette swivel razor and without a doubt this new Fusion 5 Proshield is the best razor I have ever used - Bar None.
   Stay in Business and keep selling the new Fusion 5 Proshield razors!!!!  They are the very best.

Absolutely the best Razor in my 79 years

I'm a Harrys Razor fan & have a subscription with them, but I received the Gillette Fusion 5 in the mail and man Let me just tell you. You want to talk about close Precision shave? I didn't EVER care for Gillette ever, but using this razor I got in the mail totally blew my mind. My face feels so good when I use this razor. It is just amazing. Sadly my Harry's razors are just now sitting around not being used, after using this Fusion 5. The only thing about Gillette and all the other huge companies is the prices They are just a tad bit ridiculous. But I guess for the money you get a great shave. This is my new top razor. (Not to mention that the razor handle alone is very unique and feels great in the hand) I'm going to be buying refills! Gillette could you please let us buy just the handle? When it's needed...

Gillette5 WOW!

Just completed my first shave with the Pro Shield and I couldn't be more impressed. You don't feel a single thing while using, yet I just got the cleanest shave I've gotten in years. Upgrading from the Mach 3 feels like the jump from the horse to a super car, and I cannot stress enough how it was worth every cent!

From horse to super car!

I subscribed not long after I heard about them, and chose the three month interval. Because I shave every couple days, and I can stretch my blades as needed.
My only issue was the packaging. When it first arrived with the blades and handle, I was confused. Because the box it arrived in was blank except for the shipping information. The same can be said about the second box with the first blades only box. Six months later, I still have almost two packs of blades. So I am set for a while and I may extend my subscription to six month intervals.

Semi-Hassle Free Subscription

After many, many years, I tried a new razor and company for several months.  One day, after realizing the "new" razor wasn't getting as close I like, I went back to Fusion.  I call it the yellow beard beater.  Even with just soap and water, the closeness of my shave is awesome. Hooray, I'm back with what consistently does the job! Oh, by the way, I get a minimum of 3 weeks a blade.

I Came Back For Performance

Bought the razor starter kit, got the razor in a travel case and they said for some reason the blade refills would come 2 weeks later. It's been 3 weeks and still no refills. I've used the razor 4 times and the blades are still in good shape, gives me a close shave. With dollar shave club I'd have to switch blades after each shave it would leave razor burn so badly, so I'm glad I can feel comfortable using these a reasonable amount of times before having to swap blades.

Great razor, strange policy

The first shave was good not great but good. The second felt like I needed new blades already so I started them stopped switched to my other razor to finish the job. Not what I was expecting.
