I like that it brushes my tangles out with out pulling my hair and hurting. I have used it on my young nieces who have long hair and dont like to brush because it hurts. The reason I had to buy this one is because I gave my old one to my nieces. 
I have thin hair my niece has thick hair. 
This is not a normal brush with nubs on the end of the bristles, the bristles are plastic and untangle hair without the snag.

Excellent tool for getting through knots in hair.

My son loves this brush to smooth out his thick hair. My daughter loves this brush to get all her tangles out - even the little bitty ones!

great detangling brush

This is the 3rd detangling brush I have purchased in a year. My oldest daughter has very thick hair that tangles easily, especially after a bath. My youngest has curly hair that knots after baths. The other brushes work ok, but there is still a lot of whining while I'm brushing their hair. We bought this one because the kids have lost the other 2 and this was the one I could find at Wal-Mart. I have to say that I think it's the best of the three. Tonight after bath my oldest had some horrendous tangles in her hair. Usually we would have had a lot of crying while brushing through them. Tonight was the first time in I don't know how many months that she didn't even make a whimper. I am very pleased with this brush and would recommend it to anyone who has tangle problems.

Great brush, especially for children!

I was hesistant paying $10 for it but thinking of the fighting and crying during combing her hair, i bought it. My daughter uses it without any complaints. I will definitely recommend this.
