Wood chips in general are usually frowned on but are useful in certain permaculture gardens. I bought them last year but used them in the summer.

Pros: 

+ It works. Considering its price, I'm actually surprised it worked as well as it did.
+ Cedar in general repels a number of insects that cause disease to some plants.
+ This mulch is somewhat smaller than the other three from Great Value. 

Cons:

- Be careful of buying them after it rains because they're pretty heavy!
- It can take a very long time to degrade, but depending on how you look on that it could be a good thing. You don't have to mulch as many times, saving you money.

The quality and value are solid, but its not for everyone. Its finely shredded which helps with decomposition but that's about it.

If it makes a difference, I WAS a Walmart Associate when I first bought this product.
