Co-starring Amanda Blake as Kitty, Milburn Stone as Doc, Dennis Weaver as Chester, Burt Reynolds as Quint and Ken Curtis as Festus, "Gunsmoke" also features memorable guest star appearances by many of Hollywood's finest. Disc 1 - Season One: "Matt Gets It" - In the series premiere (special introduction by John Wayne), justice proves costly for U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon when he tries to stop a notorious gunslinger's homicidal rampage; "Hack Prine" - A hit man targeting Matt turns out to be an old friend who once saved the marshal's life; "The Killer" - Charles Bronson plays an unscrupulous vagrant with a reputation for provoking bloodshed; "The Preacher" - A helpless newcomer to Dodge City suffers at the hands of a bully until Matt challenges the brute to a boxing match. (Chuck Connors guest stars) "The Guitar" - Bad blood between two ex-Confederates and a former Union soldier just might lead to a lynching.
