I purchased this coffee pot after having a Mr. Coffee for about a Year that suddenly stopped working. I vow not to buy one again. I love the easy setup and the lightweight pot. After following fort time use instructions the coffee has a great taste and brews perfectly. I would recommend this to others. I made a wise decision.

This is a well built and attractive coffee pot that is easily programmed and makes good coffee. The pot is economical in price but as good as it gets in quality of finish and  apparent reliability... Great buy.

This has been the best little coffee maker. I've had it 2 years and it is still going strong. I usually have to purchase a coffee maker at least once a year, sometimes sooner, so I am very satisfied with my purchase of the Hamilton Beachb12 cup Programmableb Coffee Maker

Excellent Coffee Maker........l replaced a coffee market that l had psid well over $100.00 for 15 years ago. It was still working so l gave it to a friend. This Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker surpasses my other. The coffee is excellent, easyto use from start to finish. When pouring it goes directly into the cup, not all over the counter. I make ice coffee often, l can pour the coffee directly into the opening of the 1/2 gallon container without spilling it every place else. I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for an excellent coffee maker.

12 cup hamilton beach

This is my second Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker. I truly like this product and appreciate the brand. This is my go to brand name as it always delivers. My favorite feature on this coffee maker is pre-setting the brew time. I am one that must wake up to coffee already made. It also has a brew options feature allowing a choice of 1-4 cups, regular or bold. This should satisfy all personal taste preferences. My only issue with this coffee maker is when we poor the coffee into our mug it seems to drip. I assume it is just a sealing issue, and oddly enough, it does not happen all the time. My only other issue is that sometimes the filter folds during the brewing process and does not permit the maker to brew the coffee correctly as it is blocking the water from dripping directly into the filter and onto the coffee. I really do not think this is a design issue, just a filter issue. Overall, this is a great product and I strongly recommend to anyone seeking a user friendly coffee maker.

Great Product

Needed a new coffee maker as the old one was taking forever to brew a 12 cup pot of coffee.   Saw this advertised for $19.99 with free in-store pick-up.  The reviews on the whole were good so I ordered it.  Used it for about  a week now and am very happy.  Brews a pot very quickly and the coffee tastes great.

Perfect brew, has options of 1-4 cups, bold, regular, auto turn off, no spill carafe, uses my favorite cone shape filters for more intense brew. One flaw, the pot slides easily off the burner. Other then that, love it.

i should have checked the basket type b4 ordering. went from a round coffee filter to the v-shaped filters. waste of paper products. otherwise it makes coffee.

Bought two coffee makers at the great price of $19.00 dollars each. The first one we used stopped working in 3 days. The pump inside coffee maker stop working. We open the second one we bought as a back up and so far it is working fine. I rated the maker as a 3 star only because the first one stopped working. We did take the first one back to our local Walmart and of course the refunded our purchase price.

So yeah, it brews coffee and uses a cone filter.  Check.  Check.  

Here's where it went really wrong:

1. The clock display and front panel fogs up when you brew because steam doesn't vent properly from the bottom.  Can't see how all that moisture is good for the electronics or buttons.  If you make one cup, it's probably not a big deal, but if you make 3+ cups like me,  accumulated steam starts to drip down from it. 

2. The plastic lip where you pour out the coffee is kinda thick!  It covers the entire rim and  has a side effect of leaving a bit of coffee that won't pour out completely.  It's nearly impossible to clean quickly because even when you rinse the pot there's water that won't drain out because the plastic topper is so thick around the glass body.  

3. For some reason, this model had a much stronger plastic/vinyl smell to it than other models. Couldn't get it out. 

So yeah, I ended up getting the other Hamilton Beach model, 49465R,  which has a glass spout and no weird plastic top or venting issues.  It's  about the same price when it was on sale ($19.99).
