I love this toaster it work excellent! ..i tried 2 toaster and i return each one of them coz they are not working right! Im glad i found this toaster and it work great on my bagels ., great price too!

Bought this 2 weeks ago and it performs great! Toast bagels every day and the bagel button works great- shuts off outside elements. Cosmetically it looks awesome. Footprint is perfect. Only negative - crumb tray at rear. 850 watts, still need to set dial to 4 for light brown toast, but all good. Defrost works as should. Did take some time to "learn" toaster settings.

works like a Toaster should

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster is exactly what I needed. It is a basic toaster that does what it is intended to do . I don't need all the bells and whistles. I just need to make toast and toast bagels. I used it to toast mini bagels and it performed perfectly. It toasts bread evenly. I love the look of it as well. It is sleek and modern.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very limited on counter space in my kitchen and it is nice I love how small it is. I finally have a toaster that fits bagels and English muffins and toast them perfectly. It has a defrost button so I can pull any kind of frozen bread and it's so be toasted perfectly. The auto shut off function is great to have as I am a mom of a toddler so I'm always on the run. The come tray is not difficult to pull out and it's easy to clean with a paper towel. All in all great product

Must have in small kitchen

This Hamilton Beach Toaster looks just like the picture.  The first few times it toasted exactly right, after that I need to turn the browning dial up to get it right.  It toasts more on the inner side and you need to toast twice for dense bread like multigrain.
It is satisfactory if you have the time.   I'm retired, so it's doable.

Does an OK job

Returning this toaster.  To hard to find the sweet spot where the toast does not burn.

You get what you pay for

I purchased this toaster because it is "recommended" by Consumer Reports in this particular price range. Consumer Reports missed the mark on rating this toaster. When pushing down the handle I feel like it can break at any moment and I often have to push the handle down more than once. It is not well constructed. 

I do not recommend this toaster.

Not Recommended

It looks good on my counter.  I like the easy to empty crumb tray.  I makes decent toast.  The only issue I have with it... when you push down on the lever to lower bread and make toast, the bread doesn't drop down all the way so you have to carefully push it down with your finger.

Not a bad toaster except

I purchased this toaster simply to toast bread and bagels. It has a bagel setting and says it has wider openings to accommodate bagels. Bagels barely fit and have to be pushed down and are difficult to retrieve. Most importantly, the heating element did not work after three uses. I had to take back. Overall, this is cheaply made, but should work for what I bought it for.

I didn't like this toaster at all. No tension on heat setting. Very loose lever. Felt like it wouldn't last. Returned it immediately.
