Ratings & Reviews+

Hamlet 8' x 6' Garden Shed is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 73.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shed I built this with my brother and it would've taken the 7 hours it said it would take if the screws provided worked properly. They were terrible and kept stripping cuz they wouldn't go through both pieces of metal. The holes on the metal bars were too small and we had to drill through many of them to make them a little bigger but we still had problems. So we had to go out and buy new screws called Sheet metal self drilling screws. They worked great and were more secure as well. Several of the screws that came with the shed kept popping out of the siding as we attached other panels. Also, many times it said to preassemble two beams together then we had to take several screws back out to attach a panel to it. So my only complaint was that we wasted a lot of extra, unnecessary time on these issues. Once it was done, it looked great and I'm very happy with the finished project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easier than it seems, sturdier than it seems. I purchased the 8'x6' storage shed to convert into a chicken coop. I had to get those fowl out of their brooder in my basement! (Never again!) The shed arrived in two days and was packaged nicely. It seems like an overwhelming amount of pieces and screws, but everything is labeled well. I put everything together by myself with the exception of the roof. My fiance showed up for the easy part! I could have easily put the roof on solo, as well. My spot was not level, and there was a pleasant breeze. To assemble this shed by yourself you will need a step ladder, and a couple saw horses to prop your side pieces up. You will also need coffee, ambition, and about 8 hours. An impact driver will help immensely, too. It will keep you from stripping screws and save your hands. So now the dirty birds are out of the house and I can sit back and admire my work!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from you get what you pay for It took three days to assemble somewhat due to weather. Installing roof and having to reach quite a distance to do finishing I put a little too much pressure on roof panel and it caved in slightly. They give you plenty of screws and bolts to assemble it.It also survived Sandy with the high winds which I was very satisfied about. You definitely need help to put this shed together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Building the shed You definately need two peopke to nake this go a lot easier....I am an experienced builder and decided to do it alone....wrong answer....I managed but with some difficulty using a chair as my second person holding the walls up to screw them to the base....If I decide to build another one...I will order another person to go with it.....lol...was fairly easy to build....easy to follow instructions....but to someone with no building experience...it might be a little challenging....I am pleased with this shed for the price..
