HoMedics Air Compression + Shiatsu Foot Massager with Heat is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Foot Massager The Homedics foot massager is an interesting little machine. It is very well built and easy to use and comfortable. It gives your feet a fairly good massage. The air compression squeezes your feet and at the same time the little rotating nodes massage the bottom of your feet. There are three settings for the air compression, low medium and high. I use the low setting as the others are too "tight" for me. I think there should be more of the rotating nodes. The limited amount are in a small circle and don't cover much of your foot, mostly just the arch area. You can turn the air compression off and just use the rotating nodes, but you have to really move your feet around in order to get your entire foot massaged. There is heat also, which you can turn on and off as you desire. There is no control for the heat, it is either on or off. The machine will automatically turn off after 15 minutes if you don't turn it off before hand. It does not have any therapeutic/medical value and is strictly a foot massager as it clearly states. It is not recommended for use by diabetics. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Late Than Never! Oh my, where was this unit when I worked wearing spike heels all day?! As a Walmart Spark Reviewer, I decided to replace my old wooden foot rollers with this unit. As I got older, I had also given up my water bath machine, because, with limited mobility, I just couldn't clean it up anymore, and my dog thought it was a water basin. Wow! With this new unit, I now have a whole new level of comfort, with ease of use. It's quiet and sits perfectly under my desk. On the shiatsu setting, it just feels like fingers, but not the tickly kind- more like the tension-melting kind. I quickly graduated to shiatsu and air compression. Amazing!- And the unit became "My" Foot massager. We are now BFF's, lol! My favorite setting is high compression with shiatsu. Such a comfort! I haven't done much with the heat, but it's a nice feature, too. The heat feature is designed well, like the other features. I received this in August,- The heat is really going to be used in October, when it's too warm to turn on the heat, and too cool to enjoy a cooler room. At least there will be something to look forward as the temperature drops. But for right now, the shiatsu with the compression is heavenly. "Socked feet" are recommended, and I think I know why. One of my closest friends has already tried mine, and now has the unit listed on their Christmas List. My feet and legs feel so "alive" when I use it each day. I only wear a women's size 7 shoe, but I think this foot massager can handle even the largest feet, since there's lots of "toe room" I can't even reach. This is a high-quality unit. I truly believe that this unit is great for Adults of all ages. If you use your feet or if your feet just feel bad after a day of using them, then this is for you. This is a great alternative, too, if you prefer not to use a wet foot bath. Lots of soothing comfort, but the dog won't try to drink out of it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from foot massager I bought this after my other brand broke after one month. This one automatically shuts off after a short while. Which is why I think the other brand broke. It didn't shut off when it over heated. Doesn't massage heel. I stand on my feet at work, and I notice massaging the feet help the pain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Experience depends on size and shape of your feet First let me say that I am a collector of all kinds of massaging gadgets and have many different kinds in my collection. This one is different than others. You can get a foot massager with heat but this one has air compression function that differentiates itself from other such products. First I used the basic function where I slid my feet in the slot and simply press power button, it gives you shiatsu massage in sole. It feels nice and comfortable. If you press power button one more time it turns on heat on top of the shiatsu massage, ideally you want to soak your feet as suggested before you do that. Heat function is nice but I prefer to use in winter. Then there is air compression function that you can turn on by switching to low, medium or high degree. I don’t have big feet but even then I felt I had to struggle to get my feet in the slot properly. I kept the air compression is low mode and it felt really good. When I switched to medium mode, it felt bit harsh and when I switched to high mode I felt excruciating pain. I asked my wife to try the same thing and she felt completely fine and has nothing but praise for each function and its effect. I think your experience can vary depending on size and shape of your feet. The color and look is really good and the quality of the material is excellent. Length of the cord is reasonable too. Overall, it is an excellent product but your experience could depend on size and shape of your feet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very intense massager I have many HoMedics products at home that have been extremely beneficial to me throughout the years after having sustained many injuries throughout my life. I used to love nothing more than Shiatsu foot massages. This product is like having a professional massage your feet; only there is heat should you choose to use heat and you can have just a very light massage with no air compression or you can use low, medium or high air compression with the professional deep-kneading massager. I am not quite sure why they wanted me to comment on the scent. The top of the massager is suade and that is what it smells like. Personally I don't feel much difference in intensity between the low, medium and high settings as far as the foot massaging. I also don't notice much of a difference between the low, medium and high settings as far as the air compression. The air compression is really tight. I have nerve damage in my left foot so I can only tolerate the massager without the air compression. In using the massager without the air compression, for me personally, I am able to get a really good massage and I use the heat with it. I did attempt to use the air compression with the massager on both feet and was unable to tolerate the compression. I did however use all settings on my right foot only, but again did not feel much difference at all between settings. It is really easy to use. Just plug in, put socks on, get comfortable on the couch or recliner, stick your feet in, push the button on once and the massage begins, push the same button again and the light illuminates from green to red which means you have now added heat. Then you can slide the other button up, intensifying the compression and massage or downward decreasing the intensity. It is recommended that you only use fifteen minutes at a time. My air compression massager automatically shuts off after fifteen minutes of use. All in all, it is a really good product, but for me there wasn't a lot of difference in intensity between the settings either in the massaging or the air compression.
