This is an inexpensive yet pretty decent looking rod. The end pieces give it a modern and clean appearance but it's just made of light weight plastic. The rod itself is a very nice bronze finish but is very thin and light weight. This makes it look flimsy when telescoped farther out for larger windows even with the middle bracket support installed.

By far the biggest problem is that the minimal instructions have a big mistake! It states to use a 3/4 (5mm) drill bit for the anchors and screws. This is too small and what happened to me when trying to insert, the cheap plastic anchor cracked. Realizing this can't be the right size I moved up to a 7mm bit and this was the exact correct size to use so the rest of the anchors installed properly.

Another small problem is the bracket rod tightening screws are very difficult to turn by hand and due to their location, impossible to screw in with a driver. They should be special screws designed for hand tightening.

Although I'm fairly pleased with the product once installed, I cannot recommend it until the designers increase the diameter of the rod itself and fix the install instructions error.
