This unit is smaller than the older one I had. Easy to program and works great. I wanted a basic unit, nothing fancy.

Bought this to replace a 32 year old Honeywell round mercury thermostat. It was easy to wire and install. 

Unfortunately the comments I read, did not help whatsover, pertaining to the unit resetting because of a power outages, yet this would only happen with dead or no AAA batteries installed. Another complaint was for degree temps in the morning. Well, duh, if you live in the northeast, use the hold function and set the degree you want it at and not the programmable function to raise and lower your temps by day and night. Lastly, a complaint about small print. Are you kidding me, if your are old enough to wear reading glasses, wear them. Lastly, the comment about the landlord not providing a manual or can't find one online. Google the name and model number and call the company. Geez! None of those comments were helpful to me. 

Tell me how it works, not that you can't read the directions or don't know how to install or operate it. There is an 800 number and they will answer any questions you may have. They did mine.

I recommend this product and have purchased 3 more for the other rooms of my home. Hopefully, fingers crossed, these will last another 30  years too.

Easy to Program and Install

Picked this thermostat up from the store. Came home, installed it and programmed it in about 20 minutes (using existing wiring). Works great! The timer is accurate, has programs for start, leave, return and sleep. Hold and run functions for sudden weather changes or if you're off your regular schedule.
My only problem is that I did not know this model uses batteries but maybe I didn't read well enough. Only two AAA batteries and I expect them to last for a very long time.

This is an excellent choice in a programmable replacement thermostat. Installation was a breeze and in less than an hour my air conditioning was up and running. The backlit display is also an added bonus . This is an excellent value for the money and I can recommend it .

Best choice best value

Buy a Honeywell for peace of mind.  The cheap thermostat the hvac repairman installed did not turn on the heater furnace.  I purchased this based on using this brand reliable before.  This wires up pretty easy and has clear instructions.  Make sure the wires do not touch each other and stay separated.  This thermostat cycles my a/c and heat like clock work.  Very good product and well made plastic housing frame on this unit.  The display lcd is very bright geen and clear and easy to read.  The buttons are simple and the programming is easy, which is the best feature of this thermostat.  Good value and reliable product.

Very reliable and easy to use thermostat!

We replaced a Honeywell thermostat in our home with a better one. My husband has been a Contractor for over 30 years and this is the brand he has always preferred.

Trustworthy brand

I was looking for a thermostat that would be easy to install, program and use. This unit fully met my expectations. Good clear directions. I rated average on durability because I've had it only a short time so I don't really know.

Easy to install

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. When I bought this, I knew Honeywell was a reputable thermostat brand and they did not disappoint. Physically, the thermostat was solid and well made. Technologically, I love that it has different programs for the week and weekend. Very logical! It was simple to set up and clear in its instructions. The backlight and time display were also big bonuses! Great thermostat for a great price.

Great thermostat for a great price

I had a old thermostat that went out and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. The wiring was very simple, connect the 4 color wires to the correct feed and you are good to go. Don't forget to turn off the circuit breaker for the furnace. I wish the thermostat was bigger so it would cover up the unpainted area around the old one. The LED could be bigger for easy reading. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Quick and easy to replace

This is a good product. I like the back light display so I can read it in the dark. The only negative thing I would say is that the on/off button on the bottom of the unit is hard to slide back and forth other than that it works good.

Works as advertised

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Unfortunately I can not review this product in its entirety as it arrived previously used and broken.  The unit did not come with any of its original interior packaging,  was not placed in the cardboard interior shell, and all stickers were pulled off, folded in half and loose in the box. This unit actually looks like it might have been swapped out with someone else's prior unit then returned without being checked.  We tried hooking it up to power and it does not work. Very disappointing.
