Best vacuum I've ever had.  Really like all the features.  Especially, the rewind cord.  What can I say, I'm lazy I guess and never want to wrap a vacuum cord up.  Normally, just haphazardly wrapped the cord on my last vacuum.  A touch of a lever and it rewinds on its own.  Great suction power with this vacuum as well.  Thinking of getting another one for my downstairs.

Great vacuum, but it does get hot. The traps inside must be cleaned regularly, and they aren't too easy to clean - there are little holes inside that I have to use a brush to clean inside. Other than that it has a nice long retractable cord and is useful for my carpet with multiple cats.

I like all the features of the item. I just wish the hand extension tube is longer or has two of those to connect to each other so it can reach farther when cleaning into a deeper spot or corners of the house.

Good on sucking

Third one I have owned. Love the Hoover brand. Love that it has the cord rewind button, also love that is has the hand noodle for spot cleaning..Got it on clearance was a plus..

I've had one of these Hoover Elite Rewind Plus vacuums for quite awhile and it is AMAZING!! It quit on me a few days ago and I thought it was dead. I tried a cheaper vacuum I found in the meantime, but was NOT  impressed. It was not my Hoover! So I looked over my trusty Hoover one more time before going to buy a replacement of some kind that I could afford. I found the culprit clog!! It was in the bend before entering the canister! I cleared it and it now works as perfect as ever! When it quit the other day it was protecting itself from burning out. I have put my Hoover through so much with all of the sand and pet hair, and it works so good!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this vacuum!!!!! Thank you Hoover for making such a great and affordable product!!!

This is a very good machine. The only problem is taking the canister apart, removing screws and replacing them all together after cleaning it. I have a permanently fractured wrist, making it impossible to perform the job. Otherwise, it is a very great machine.

Worth the price, would recommend.

Unboxing this was a chore it's heavy and cumbersome for being all plastic. After screwing in the handle i did notice there is a tiny gap between the rubber stopper and canister that rests against it. This is a loud vacuum! It does not glide/roll very easy, it takes alot of effort. The highest carpet setting does not pick anything up, literally nothing. There is a distinct smell of burning plastic at the intial use turn on and first use that i hope does not become a major issue. I won't bother with return because of the nightmares others are experiencing. I do not recommend this particular vacuum. Very disappointing.

Not what I was expecting from a Hoover

I have used this brand a decade or more ago and loved everything about it, minus the weight. This vacuum's cord rewind doesn't work. It's not something a replacement will fix. Also, I have a carpet in the living room  that goes over the hardwood floors. It's probably less than 1/4 inch thick. It  can't be used on low carpet. It's best at 3 or 4, but it's NOT getting the carpet cleaned. I had bought another Hoover 2 years ago. Same issue. Just awful. Hard wood is about all its really good for. Thank goodness the rest of my place doesn't have carpet. Very disappointing. Sorry Hoover, the best model was ages ago, the Hoover Wind tunnel. Maybe I'll take it to get fixed. Everything new has a drastic decline in quality and function. It's not just Hoover.

i have bought 4 shark vacuums and all within months were junk. Anything you sucked up flew out the back that is ridiculous for such an expensive vacuum. This vacuum is a little loud but picks up great. it has adjustments for hard floors up to high carpet. My shark vacuums were supposed to self adjusr from hardwood to carpet but not with tearing my back up. They were so hard to use if at all on carpet. This hoover is a breeze. It was inexpensive and has great power, and with the adjustable floors works great. Even if it only lasts a year or two i'll take that over a shark that doesn't last 6 months even after cleaning it. Looking forward to having clean floors again.

a little loud but very good

This Hoover vacuum is a good machine that could be made perfect by making the foot release pedal out of metal instead of plastic.  A plastic foot pedal will always break after about a year due to frequent use, but if it were made out of metal, it would last for as long as the machine does.  Every year I have to buy another one of these vacuums, and am always annoyed when that plastic foot pedal breaks yet again.  Don't know why the manufacturers don't wise up and fix this problem.

Good but could be better

I have had Hoover vacuum cleaners for years. They have been very good.. This model is heavy and hard to maneuver.. I feel that it's quality is very poor.. I would buy Hoover again, but definitely not this model..  Quality control very poor and I am a bit surprised that Walmart did not the proper due diligence when adding this to their line.

Very disappointed.
