Had a 3yr upright Dyson. Vacuumed my carpet with the Dyson. Vacuumed the same area with the Hoover and got a lot of extra dog hair. The power of this vacuum is impressive. A must have for any pet owner. I gave my Dyson to a friend

This unit has quite a bit of suction with some.nice features for floors, carpets and hardwood. On-board storage of all attachments is fantastic and the headlight feature is very cool! Would recommend this vacuum without hesitation.

Must be twice as powerful as previous vaccum. Easy to use, all attachments are right there.

Hoover is the Best cleans spotless all dust hair nice n clean. Easy to use.

Love Hoover

This is a very powerful vacuum and the "beater bar" works very well. I would like it even more if it would raise up a bit more for deep pile carpets. It would also be great if the cord retracted but it is a very long cord so that makes up for not retracting.

Excellent product and no regrets about the purchase.

I like all aspects/features of this unit. Great suction power, does well keeping all dog hairs (4 dogs), wish it was cordless but being corded has a good long cord but don't like having to hold it in use

Great Hoover unit for pets!

My furry dog sheds 10 new dogs a day. This vacuum is good at picking up dog hair BUT it is much heavier than what the specs say and difficult to clean after vacuuming. How to manual is inadequate. Online shows a different vac than the 1 received and tools are a joke.

Not What I Thought

This vacuum is powerful but, there are some things I am not happy with. 1. The hose is not long enough. If you are trying to use the attachments, often the vacuum tips over because the hose just doesn't reach very far. 2. There is no way to just have hose suction. The brush bar continually spins. Compared to my last Hoover pet vacuum that lasted 13 years, I am disappointed.  The brush attachment with lint pad is like magic. I love it. Overall, I am sort of satisfied but not in love with it.

As MANY other reviewers have said, the height adjustment plate on the bottom is easily broken, and then falls off. You can not stop the rotating brush when using hand attachments. POOR DESIGN.

Poor design

Horrible machine. I would give it a zero if I could. The beater bar will burn your carpet when using the wand since it's always running. Buyer beware! Zero stars really. This is a fire Hazzard.
