I have had this vacuum about two weeks now and have been putting it through it's paces while moving.  It's a fantastic vacuum with powerful suction, especially considering it's price point.  The tools and extensions all work as advertised.  My only complaint is that I wish it had a better tool for stairs, but other than that it hasn't disappointed.  I would easily recommend this vacuum to a friend or even purchase another one if needed.

Fantastic vacuum for it's price

It's great!  I always thought I kept my home pretty clean, but the dirt this vacuum pulled out of my carpets was unbelievable.  I always knew Hoover had great products, we had a big heavy metal one when I was a little girl.  I worked forever, I hope this one does the same.

Hoover Power Drive Pet Upright Vacuum

I bought this vacuum last June and it still works as good as it did the first day. Love the lights on the front so you don't accidently pick up any jewelry or other things you don't want sucked up! I have a husky and two cats and can confirm this works EXTREMELY well on pet hair. It works really well on both the tile and low-pile carpet. Would not recommend for long, shag area rugs. Will hopefully have this vacuum for many years! This is not a light, flimsy little vacuum. If you want a real deal vacuum that can keep up, this is it.

Best Vacuum!

Very nice Vacuum, a good seal on dust cup and cleans well.   Some cheap plastic parts but overall solidly made.  Have used it for two weeks and like it so far.  Does a better job than my Shark pet model did and built a little better.    The brush roll does not gather hair which is a big plus.

Nice Pet Vacuum

This is a very nice, wonderful, powerful vacuum. The only problem that I am having with it is that it is extremely heavy. I have great difficulty using it, and pushing it around. it does a wonderful job vacuuming, but, again, is extremely heavy and almost too much for me to push.
I have two black labs, and you know what they say about labs that they shed twice a year, continually every 6 months. Meaning, they shed constantly all year round. The vacuum does a good job of getting all that dog hair up.

Great for dog hair

Great vacuum, a little heavy but after buying two cheaper light weight vacuums, I have discovered if you want a GOOD vacuum that will suck up everything, it needs to be heavier! I have four cats and two young kids, so I need a vacuum that will do it's job. This one does! Wish the cord was retractable as well but that's minor.

Good quality vacuum! Worth the money.

I purchased this item in February, it's now November and the motor stopped working. I have 2 moderate shedding dogs. It was great while it lasted but now I only get the lights that turn on and no running motor. Didn't even last a year.

The brush roll stopped spinning after only 3 months. And hoover is really making it difficult to get this fixed. You call their customer service and they make you unscrew things and check so many things so they dont have to act on their warranty. Than they sent me to a service place to check things for them. If it stopped running after 3 months they should cover it right away. It's such a hassle. I am never buying a Hoover again. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Broke in 3 months - DO NOT BUY!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE

I purchased this vacuum last year after my Shark died and I hate it. I decided to give it a try cuz it was on sale and had decent reviews. Unfortunately, it clogs up every time I try to vacuum and I have to pick out clumps of dirt and dust to unclog in then suck it up with the hose that is too short. I'll definitely be going back to Shark
