I've only had one other carpet cleaner and it was a hand-me-down so about 15 years old? LOL My new carpet scrubber is so great! There was a learning curve (not long) to figure out how to be consistent with getting the wet cycle to be on. If you go super slow (like snails pace which my last cleaner required), it will flip to dry. And there isn't a way to turn off the soap. You just have to pull it out but that's no big deal. Overall really easy to use. Not as loud as my old one and really effective. The stain stick coming as the handle is super convenient! Really liked that. And got a free battery powered hand vacuum which is teeny but mighty!! Overall I'm thrilled with my new tools!

Extremely Effective

For so many reasons I Love this carpet cleaner!  Cleaning carpets are so much easier with this cleaner!  You push the cleaner forward to spray the water and when you pull back it automatically sucks the water back in!  Just as easy as vacuuming!  But what I love most about this cleaner is the ease of cleaning the cleaner once you're done!  You just have to pop off the top panel above the rollers and the rollers come out and just take a sprayer to clean out the area!  I've had several different kinds of cleaners and this one is by far the Best and My favorite!!

Easiest Cleaner in Soo many ways!!!

Shampooer is easy to handle and cleans well! My granddaughter threw up blueberries on beige carpet. If sat there and dried all day because I had to go to work. I shampooed the carpet when I got home that evening and ALL of the blueberry stain came out with just one cleaning!!! Very pleased with my purchase!

Awesome machine!

I used to buy Bissell and swear by them but I am glad I bought this machine this tune. This hoover was definitely designed to cleaned deep into the carpets to deal with pets and stains. You can also use the dry only feature to ensure you get as much water out of the carpet as possible which is a nice feature. Definitely worth the investment.

Glad I made the change

So, I thought I knew it all from reading the reviews and watching the videos on Hoover website. When I got the Smartwash Pet and set it up, which was very easy, I thought 'this machine is so cool and fancy ' and was afraid I'd break it. However, after watching a couple of review videos on YouTube I gave it a shot. Wow, it is so easy to use and very well built (I haven't broken it yet). I particularly like the ease of removing the cover for the brush area. They didn't waste any cash on the carpet when they built this house and it sheds fibers. Consequently, I had to clean out the accumulation every so often and when I was done the brushes pop right out for easy cleaning, too. My model has the removable Spot Chaser Wand feature which makes spot cleaning very easy and convenient. Emptying the dirty water tank is very simple and not at all messy making cleanup a breeze. All around I'm very impressed with my purchase and look forward to many more years of service.

No longer intimidated...

We are very pleased with the purchase of this product. It is very easy to use. Other cleaners we have purchased in the past have dirty water recovery tanks that are difficult to clean. This one is easy to clean. The removable cover on the top of the brushes is also easy to remove and clean. These feature makes the cleaner look brand new. It also cleans up soiled pet spots from our senior dogs. Our carpets look revived and new. Very pleased and highly recommend this cleaner!

I would buy this product again

In the past, I have always gone to the big box store to rent a carpet cleaner. This device works better than the rentals, and it doesn't throw out exhaust and contaminents from usage at the property of someone else. Easy to use. Ran on the carpet in the basement game room, and it is bright as when new.

Works fantastic.

Not too difficult to assemble although it is heavy. Cleans reasonably well and nice fragrance. Difficult to get carpet really dry, and it seems to leak when I stop it and turn it off. I haven't figured out how to manage that, so I have wetter spots on the carpet when I stop. I've had to go over pet stains several times and they're still not completely gone. Any advice would be appreciated.

Cleans well

First time using this machine and had issues with the suction. I would be using it and it would be working great but then just stop sucking up the water. Tank was no where near full. I noticed the hose attachment cover could not close all the way and I pushed it in as hard as it allowed. I thought that would help and it seemed to but then the problem persisted. I could hear it randomly stop the suction. I'd turn it on and off and put it upright again etc. nothing seemed to be a direct cause. I was annoyed and fed up and finally admitted it was a faulty machine that I did not want anymore. It doesn't work properly. It's a shame, because when it did seem to work, it worked great. I returned it. I'll buy a different machine that is similar to my last one.

Works great when it works properly

This is a really unfortunate situation I am in with this machine. It worked great at first but now , maybe 3 weeks later or LESS, it won't suck up any of the dirty water and the hose extension is a joke. It doesn't pick up ANY water at all. I've taken it apart, cleaned it, put it back together again and am overall disgusted with this product.
