I love this vacuum/ mop combo. We have both hardwoods and carpets, and it transitions with no problem from one to the other. The app seriously makes the use of this so convenient, I can just click the button in the app while I am at work and it vacuums the entire house. I love the feature where I can mark areas in the app based on my house mapping to keep the Roomba from going into. It's been amazing not seeing dog hair all over my floors, and not too mention IT EMPTIES IT'S OWN TRASH BIN. How amazing is that!

Best vacuum & mop combo, EVER!

store.irobot.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing: This thing was was packed well, apart from it being triple boxed (thank you), each box was labeled and included instructions on what to remove first so the robot wasn't damaged. First impression: Wow, this thing is beautiful; very sleek, stylish and modern. Setup: Setup was very easy, pretty much just plug and play. The instructions are printed on high quality materials so you can easily store them away for later. They give you a QR code to scan, this is my second Roomba so I already had the app downloaded. Operation: it is quieter than my first Roomba and my Shark, except for the empty bin option, very noisy but what can you expect, you need it to have powerful suction in order to clean it out. Pros: - Visually appealing and modern. - It is able to detect cords and other obstacles in its path with the front facing camera. That means if you have animals and they have accidents, there will be no more spreading poo all over the house (luckily my dog hasn't done that). - Cleans in rows instead random so it is quicker and more efficient. - Dog resistant, if you dog attacks it and turn it off Al the time, you are in luck. This one is not as easy to stop as previous versions. (See mapping video). - Debree bags, the dirt goes into the debree bags instead of making the entire chamber filthy. Cons: - The empty bin function is VERY loud. My dog did not like it at all, neither did my husband. - You have to swap out the attachment for mopping. - You will have to buy additional debree bags Overall Review: I am pleased with the robot, although I wish I it could vacuum and mop without changing the the attachment. The empty bin functionality is loud and will take some getting used to so I suggest putting the home unit somewhere where the noise won't bother you. I work from home so I put it far away from my office. Monitor your animals for the first few times you operate it so they aren't afraid and reward them for leaving it alone. Overall B+

Finally a Sleek and Modern robot vacuum and mop that works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Roomba Combo j5+ Robot Vacuum and Mop, and it has truly transformed my cleaning routine. This smart device combines the best of both worlds, making it a valuable addition to any home. The vacuum function is impressive. It effortlessly navigates through my home, cleaning up dirt, dust, and pet hair with precision. The combination of sensors and mapping technology ensures it doesn't miss a spot. I particularly like that it adapts to different floor types seamlessly, from hardwood to carpets. The mopping feature is a game-changer. With its intelligent water dispensing system, it doesn't leave floors soaking wet but provides just the right amount of moisture for a thorough clean. The disposable mopping pads are a convenient touch, and they make post-cleaning maintenance hassle-free. The companion app allows me to schedule cleaning sessions and customize settings with ease. Its integration with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant is a plus. It's super cool making everything so smart! The Roomba Combo j5+ is well worth its price, the time and effort it saves on cleaning make it a worthwhile investment. It's been a great addition to my home, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and intelligent cleaning solution.

Time saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was soooo excited to try out this J5 Robot Roomba vac and mop. We have dogs and cats plus outdoor chickens so our house is always a mess. We set the app up very easily on our phones and after the initial test run it was good to go! Even our pets aren't afraid of it because it's so quiet. It works very well in rugs, tile and hardwood floors. We love that it has a sensor to not run over poo poo. That's huge! So far we absolutely love this machine. We're very grateful and will continue to constantly use as we have it on a programed schedule. It does it all! 10 out of 10!!

Amazing Little Robot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always loved the idea of a robot doing my chores. With two pets and two humans packed into a tiny bungalow, my house has a miraculous way of filling up with grime. Unfortunately, the robot vacuums of yore, with a voracious appetite for cords, pet toys, and cat vomit, left plenty to be desired. Enter the j5+ combo robot vacuum (which, full disclosure, I received gratis in exchange for an honest review). This, my friends, is the robot vacuum of the future. It creates a map of your house so you can tell it where to go (e.g., the kitchen) and where not to go (pet toy box, please!). It can somehow identify obstacles with its robo-eyes and decide what and what not to suck. Is it magic? I don't know, but it sure makes my life a heck of a lot easier. My partner decided a day after we received this that his mother was getting one of these for Christmas - and this is the first time in his life he has ever given her a Christmas present! I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.

Obsessed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iRobot Roomba Combo™ j5+ Robot Vacuum and Mop is a smart and versatile device that can vacuum and mop your hardwood and tile floors. It has two bins that can be automatically emptied or filled with water or cleaning solution. You can switch between the bins depending on your cleaning needs. You can use the iRobot Home app to customize your cleaning preferences. You can create No Mop Zones, select specific rooms, zones, or objects to clean or avoid, and name your robot and give it voice commands. The robot will map your home and navigate around obstacles or alert you if it needs your help. The robot has a powerful 4-Stage Cleaning System that pulls in dirt, debris, and pet hair from wherever it hides. It also has a Dual Multi-Surface Rubber Brush, an Edge-Sweeping Brush, and a Power-Lifting Suction technology that adapt to different floor types and clean along edges and corners. I love the iRobot Roomba Combo™ j5+ Robot Vacuum and Mop. It is a great product that can do both vacuuming and mopping for your hardwood and tile floors. It is smart, powerful, and fun to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to simplify their cleaning routine and have more time for themselves.

Life saver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved testing this vacuum! I named mine Chariot and now I can ask Google to have Chariot vacuum and she does! The iRobot app also referred to my Roomba as Chariot all through the set up. Keep in mind when you first do a mapping run it won't be vacuuming! So I ended up having some hair floating around from my cats. I recommend if you want to do another mapping run after you're set up to have your Roomba vacuum first to avoid that. If I ask on the Google with a screen I can pause the cleaning, start it again and send her back to the docking station. I set up some programs and I can ask Google to run the programs as well. I haven't tried scheduling my cleanings yet, but it's been really great! I set the map so it knows where my rugs are and where I have the cat food so it doesn't tip the bowl over. The mopping function is great too! I'll be honest I've never mopped my place before and now the floors look so clean! The most difficult for me was finding a space to put the docking station. It needs to have 6ft in front of it, 6ft on the right and a foot and a half on the left, so it took me a moment to find a space where I could do that. Unfortunately it doesn't clean up the dirt right in front of the dock - easy to push it into the room for the vacuum to pick up. It also didn't get this small strip of dirt next to one of my taller rugs. I have a Dyson that I have to charge - so it's been amazing to have Chariot do the big sweep and then for the smaller spaces I can use the handheld. Overall it's been fabulous and I've been telling everyone about it!

Fabulous

I've had my iRobot, Roomba Combo, j5 for several weeks now and find it quite good. The app is fairly easy to use. The appliance is easy to use. It does a pretty good job as a vacuum but I wish I had gone for the lower priced version without the mop feature. It really doesn't do anything more than drag a damp cloth around the house. It doesn't even begin to clean even the smallest most simple "dirt". My house is generally pretty clean and tidy. I'm not asking it to clean up major messes, just a few small spots where snow melted then dried leaving a slight water puddle spot on smooth vinyl flooring. I had to go back and wipe it up with a rag. I know the iRobot Roomba Combo is not made for deep cleaning, that I'll still have to manually clean in corners and behind and under furniture and appliances but I really hoped it would do a better job of mopping. Overall I'm pleased with it but would not recommend the mop feature.

Love my robot

I bought this product at a "special preorder price" from your website. A month later it was being sold for $200 less. Special? Please. This i7 model does do two things well: The self-emptying feature is flawless, and the rubber rollers don't choke up with hair the way the brushes did on my 2017 model. However, this Roomba still (over a month later) cannot pick up all surface dirt from a carpet in a well-lit room or even climb onto my living room area rug. I can sit it directly in front of visible dust and dirt, turn it on, and it will literally go in any direction except toward the dirt! I have spent literally hours staring at these maps trying to make heads or tails out of them so I could label the rooms and place appropriate spacers, this after umpteen mapping runs. I'm not happy with the fact that it wants to remain connected to my home network 24/7 even when not in use. I am waiting til it can come up with a recognizable map before I even try the mopping feature -- more disappointment at this point is more than I can cope with.

Feeling oversold and underwhelmed

Started my roomba from my phone like I do every day and went on about my business. I'm lucky I was home because I noticed my floors has some type of thick residue that my roomba was repeatedly vacuuming over. So I stopped the roomba, moved my dining room table and noticed that it was dog poop! My brand new roomba vacuumed over a pile of dog poop. Not just a small poop but a large pile. It's on me for not noticing the poop before vacuuming, my dog is still a puppy and is learning potty training. Which is why I went with this roomba! I couldn't believe the site. It took me a better half of my day cleaning my house, bleaching my cleaning equipment and sinks, and getting the poop out of every nook and cranny on this roomba. I am sure you are not supposed to get this roomba wet wet but I had no choice but to power wash this device in a tub. When I tell you there was poop in every nook and cranny I mean it. I used a bristle brush, bleach, and hot water to just absolutely saturate the roomba because if not I would have needed a q-tip to delicately clean this machine and this type of mess needed to be dealt with bleach. I will definitely need replacement parts for some of the pieces that were just caked in poop that I rather just throw away and clean... very disappointed. Up until this incident it worked great. I guess the moral of the story is, make sure your dog is fully potty trained before purchasing one of these. See photo below
